The list of players you have here, from #33 to #47 are a cohort that I think BB would consider a gold mine. With the exception of the QBs and perhaps David Wilson who's playing at a position where we already have tremendous quality youth, I think ALL of these players are targets for the Patriots: fit our scheme, and have "starter" written all over them. I think an ideal draft for New England lands us with four picks in this window of talent. In fact, excepting the QBs and RB, I would be happy with almost any combination of four players from that grouping.

why would atlanta give a first for next year, our second and a sixth for 31 in the first round???
I do not see us giving all the up just for 31 out of 32.

Remember that a future first has roughly the same value as a current second, since you don't get to use the asset for a year. The #16 pick this year is 1000 by the chart. Figure the Falcons would be drafting later than that, say 26, which is 700 points. Given the year's devaluation, it's about 320 points, or equivalent of the 58th pick, this year.

I may have slightly overvalued the trade, maybe the Dimitroff trade last year clouded my judgement. That being said, sometimes when a team really wants somebody, the trade chart goes out the window. I think Dimitroff is in win-now mode, and would do something similar to this.
