But it doesn’t work that way.

You have to outscore the opponent.
If your drive puts up points you are better off.
If you score points you increase your own points per drive

if you score a td in one play the worse thing that can happen is you get the ball back right where you started wrt the score.
If you eat time and don’t score the best thing that can happen is you get the ball back in the same shape, but if they score you lose ground.

Sure a terrible team should hope for a short game so fluke would have more impact but given your example it doesn t much matter how Amy possesssions if you accept they score more per possession. Winning is about getting points on your possession and not letting them get points on theirs.

Trading points for clock is a losing proposition unless you are protecting a large lead.

I have no idea if you are disagreeing with me or not.

The NFC teams don't scare me. Maybe they should but they don't.
The SF dline scares me a bit but JimmyG would more than make up for it with a few fumbles. SEA,GB don't scare me at all and Saints 60/40.

My belief is if the offense plays like it did vs the Jills (o-line solid, ran the ball, Tom sharp) and put up 24 points, it'll hang 30+ vs NO, SF, GB or SEA and our D will keep them under 24.

It's BAL and KC that worry me.

I can roll with that. I'm not really worried about KC. I know they could come in here and win, but I don't think they would. Reid is soft.

Sf has allowed more points in the last 8 games (212)than the patriots have allowed all season (198)
That defense peaked in October and has been poor since.

Lol at you guys sleeping on New Orleans

Reid's not playing.

Belichick saying the playoffs have started, harbaugh saying kick back and take it easy. Will it make a difference?

I'm hoping Lamar will be rusty in the divisional round. It's never a good idea to go 3 weeks without taking a snap.

love it. Not saying baltimore will lose but they have been on fire and this is the best thing we could’ve hoped for.

Taking it easy vs a team that is fighting for it's playoff life is a recipe for disaster

Right.
I respect them but after playing this Ravens team & KC what/who exactly are we afraid of?

Ravens have been very consistent & efficient all year. KC is capable of putting up 30 in a half & beating anyone, anywhere.

I'd put them in the top tier with us & SF right below.

Fortunately for us no one is more comfortable this time of year. We've literally done for 2 decades. It's a one game season with Brady & Bill. That evens up things a lot.

Harbaugh is hoping to keep the Titans out it would seem...if the Steelers win and Titans lose, the Titans are out. But a Ravens win and a Titans loss would mean the Titans are in. So the only way for the Titans to miss the playoffs is a Steeler win.

I demand BAL docked $10m for point shaving, Harbaugh removed as HC and Biscotti never allowed to eat Italian food again.
