It's no longer the front that allowed QB's to dance around all day like last year. Could you imagine this front with last years secondary? This Pats front 7 is pretty good. Wow.

In its defense it's done very good.Everyone is currently overrating Denver's defense. By the end of the season, our will be better - guaranteed.
Tell that to last years team though. We had big leads and still didn't pile many sacks.I think that the offense getting out to such large leads provides some stat inflation when it comes to picks and sacks. Having said that, the defense has improved week to week and is looking like the group most of us hoped they would become with the talent on paper.
I see your point but I would argue that the 14 team was a second half squad and most games down the stretch resembled this week's game more than the Buffalo or Jacksonville games. No better case for artificial inflation that the 07 defense who didn't pass the eye test nearly as well as last years squad yet put up stupid numbers.Tell that to last years team though. IMO if Chandler Jones has high trade value, I'd do it now. I think Sheard can more than fill his shoes at right end and I've always thought Jones was decent but a little overrated. Might be the way we get another corner if it becomes a more pressing need (i.e. Butler gets exposed in later games, Brown injured, etc), and/or get a high draft pick to help mitigate the loss of that first rounder.
Once thing I am curious about is that Collins seems like a loner on the sidelines. Anyone else notice that?
Awesome article. Thanks for the link! For those who missed it -- Howe on the Collins/Hightower Southern Boy Bromance.

I love that good ol' southern boys can be black.
I think that an end combination of Sheard and Jones, is much better than Sheard Ninkovich. Plus having 3 ends that can all start allows us to move them around so much more without sacrificing too much.IMO if Chandler Jones has high trade value, I'd do it now.
