The OTs need to be addressed via the DRAFT

I'm kinda on that program, coming around to Membou as well. I'd be happy with any of the names I mentioned if they were picking 8-12.
This is just me but I don't give a @#$% if we pick a starting OT at 4 or 8. 4 is what we have. There's no guarantee we'll get the trade down we want. If he can play OT, it's worth it. If he can't, I'm not going to like him better at 8.

To each their own....to me that is like betting on Easley again, and we did that further down the draft.
Difference is Josh Simmons would be sitting for a Year.

I have another little game I want to play.

Carter, Ward, Hunter go top 3. There's no dance partner for #4 for Sanders, or there's no dance partner offering enough value to warrant a drop from #4 to where ever. The team's choices are:

an undersized OT who's probably a guard in the NFL, albeit a really good one, in Campbell.
an undersized DT who probably needs to be moved to a different scheme in Graham.
a WR who might be big and slow, N'keal Harry 2.0, in McMillan.
a guy who's probably the only true LT in the draft but might be redshirted in Simmons.
an undersized RB who might be generational in Jeanty.
taking a guy who the draftnik's say is a reach at #4. Membou, Jihaad Campbell, Banks, Warren or any of the other guys who are probably a top 10 pick but not a top 5.

What do you do? This is where they are stuck in limbo. This is where the board is going to melt down because there's no bonafide top 5 bluechipper, but there's guys in the top 10 that are, for lack of a better word, fine.
You hope the Raiders/Jets/Saints want to trade up, even if it's not for very good value, or some other team wants to trade up because they personally really want one of the listed players, and you make that move. If you can't make it happen then you take the RB or whoever you think is just the straight up most talented player regardless of position.

We have to care mike: we need a few more picks in this one. We just have too many Needs.

College has a dearth of premium talent at OT. This is not a good draft at OT.

I'll say it again. Over the last decade the Giants have been FAR AND AWAY the top team in investing resources on their offensive line in both the draft and free agency. They have a bottom 1/3rd line in the league to show for it.

Lesson: Just because you want something doesn't mean it's there.

mike Teams just get stupid on Draft Day: it's just in their nature. QB's Michael Penix Jr. and JJ McCarthy went Top 10. There's just something about QB's on Draft Day Teams will roll the dice.

Ross you like Jeanty??

Ravens are going to resign Stanley. That is a sure thing for a run heavy tesm. Why wouldn’t they and am sure Stanley prefers Ravens to Pats. If the can sign a LT in free agency it is not going to be an elite all pro type. They will need to get an older mediocre vet most likely.
Hopefully Marone can coach up Wallace, Robinson and freeagent vet they sign

It won’t be Stanley.,that is a pipe dream

Raiders need a QB... Saints Need a QB Hmmmm: even the Jets need a QB. IF Anthony Richardson can go Top 4 so can Shedeur Sanders.
Under my scenario, there's no trade partner. They have to pick.
It’s the question we may face. I was listening to Zo and others and they are dead set against Campbell at 4. I think they said shortest wingspan and arms since 2011 for a tackle. He’ll be moved to guard and you don’t pick a guard at 4. Graham has his size issues on D, so he’s now likely a no go at 4.

They thought the 2 best players and likely best chance to be all-pros after Hunter and Carter are Jeanty and Warren, but both play positions that typically don’t get picked high. I’m thinking maybe Warren at 4 if we can’t trade down.
I think if there's a future all-pro guy, you take him, regardless of slot.

See above. I know Membou is a riser, post-combine, so that's kind of the program I am on. Membou or Graham.

I think Jeanty is a lux pick right now. They bring in a couple of NFL capable linemen in FA, then sure, go for it.

Part of this is expectations. Some people really need to get over the idea that we are fixing the team this team in one off season and we shouldn't make stupid reaches to do that. That's how you make bad picks and bad deals and have more issues.

Josh Simmons. I want him. I would draft him tomorrow at 4 - No questions asked.

Will Campbell would be my second choice. Since I don't think we will get jumped at 4, eh.

Haven't done much work on the RT spot - Okay, any work on the RT spot.
Campbell's tape at LSU is impressive guys super dominant... feeling like if we take BPA at #4.. but how do we still get Campbell?? I want him!

Anyone have a link to the article where Scar is quoted as saying that no OT in this year's draft is worth #4??

Dante Scarnecchia cautions against Patriots drafting offensive lineman with No. 4 pick

Relevant quote:

"It’s funny when you listen to talk radio — and I listen to it, just like everyone — and they say, ‘Well, we’ve got the fourth pick in this draft. Let’s go out and get an offensive tackle,’ “ Scarnecchia told Chris Price of The Boston Globe. “And I’m going to tell you something, if there’s a guy there that you really, really want, who coincidentally happens to be an offensive tackle, and you say, ‘All right, that’s a good need, we’ll fit it,’ well, that’s fine.

“But me personally, I’m kind of an old-school guy, you know? I’ve heard the saying that if I’m taking a guy with the fourth pick in the draft, I’m taking a guy who can sack the quarterback or score touchdowns. I think I would take a guy that can do those things over an offensive lineman. Now, I’m not saying don’t take one. [But] there’s a lot of good football players out there.”

It's sure looking like it maybe Ronnie Stanley don't want to be part of a rebuild. Team was two brutal drops away from the AFC-CGame. Let Pats Rebuild continue.

That could factor in. Moreso the Ravens are a smart team compared to most, I just don’t think they would let a great LT leave just like that at the age of 30. Not young but he still has years left.

Example I don't like Polk anymore just because we got Baker too.

He’s gonna be a guard. You want a guard at 4?

Take Membou at 4 or with a slight trade back. Dude is gonna be a monster LT.

Thats my pick and it's not going to change. I would take him over Hunter.
I was watching some draft talk yesterday. They said he is exclusively a RT which is where he played in college. Only way I’d go Membou at 4 is if we get our LT in FA.
