The OTs need to be addressed via the DRAFT

Anyone have a link to the article where Scar is quoted as saying that no OT in this year's draft is worth #4??
he said it. it was more along the lines of at 4 you take guys who make sacks

I was watching some draft talk yesterday. They said he is exclusively a RT which is where he played in college. Only way I’d go Membou at 4 is if we get our LT in FA.
there you go... perfect pick for 38... fill that RT hole

Not gonna happen Stanley is staying put so next best option is Cam Robinson whom played under Marrone.

agreed. I cannot see the Ravens letting him walk without an adequate replacement... Maybe they have one... if so, i haven't heard anyone mention a name
Dillon Radunz

I have no idea who this kid is, but Vrabel will know him, and he's only 26. Sounds like he's more of what's here now, but what's out there for FAs?

He's gonna be long gone by that time. Lotta buzz San Fran might snag him in the 1st round. I'd call up Scar, ask him what he thinks, then as my scouts what they think and work him out personally.

Nah, let's go all in on Stanley and Cam Robinson.....we have to spend our cap money!

THEN trade back in the late 1st and take Simmons.

Nah, I think we'll offer so much that Stanley will have to come to Foxborough. The Ravens only have 11M in cap space....even if they restructure...use creative accounting....our offer will dwarf whatever they offer.

I have another little game I want to play.

Carter, Ward, Hunter go top 3. There's no dance partner for #4 for Sanders, or there's no dance partner offering enough value to warrant a drop from #4 to where ever. The team's choices are:

an undersized OT who's probably a guard in the NFL, albeit a really good one, in Campbell.
an undersized DT who probably needs to be moved to a different scheme in Graham.
a WR who might be big and slow, N'keal Harry 2.0, in McMillan.
a guy who's probably the only true LT in the draft but might be redshirted in Simmons.
an undersized RB who might be generational in Jeanty.
taking a guy who the draftnik's say is a reach at #4. Membou, Jihaad Campbell, Banks, Warren or any of the other guys who are probably a top 10 pick but not a top 5.

What do you do? This is where they are stuck in limbo. This is where the board is going to melt down because there's no bonafide top 5 bluechipper, but there's guys in the top 10 that are, for lack of a better word, fine.
Maybe not as high as #4, but in this situation in general, I lean towards the best DL/edge player. Reason being is that the rotational nature snap counts at those spots mean the bar for a contributor is relatively lower.

At #4 though, there should be one guy who they feel really great about projecting as a high end starter. It might be a less premium position like Jeanty at RB, Campbell at LB, Warren at TE, etc. Not ideal but sitting there at #4 there should be one guy they see as a high end starter IMO.

different guy

different position

Maybe this will help Ivan understand what a strawman is.

Blown out knees are blown out knees....and Easley's injury was the one considered easier to deal with.

defensive ends are not offensive tackles

I'd love for it to happen don't get me wrong.. but as @Pape Mentioned they will do everything to retain him. Hes to important to what they do. They run alot behind him with Henry. He's thier best OL for sure. But i won't get my hopes up!

Yes, look at how Alaric Jackson got quickly re-signed. And Ravens recently reported they are working to extend Stanley. Cam Robinson is a guy I'd really look at a here for now solid stop gap veteran LT. I'm sure Marrone has already had his input on him...

The hope is we enter training camp with a healthy strange, Wallace and Robinson. Definitely we will take guys in the draft. But you ideally want to see your second year players playing.

Seems like we can't find a consensus, our draft pick is too rich for the available players in this draft, free agency no names apart from Roonie Stanley, so I ask, isn't there someone out there to trade for, even having to trade a high draft pick, like #38 or a package? We will have to spend draft capital anyway unless they have an unofficial agreement with Stanley.

The important thing here is finding a solution to this mess, can't go into another season without a decent tackle play.

Important to note as well that rookies need to develop and not rare for them to sit on the bench and play limited snaps.

whatever the scouts say...DO THE OPPOSITE
