This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

The majority of HC’s just in the playoffs the last 5 years have been offensive guys. The league has been trending towards this for years due to the rule changes. A defensive coordinator like Spagnuolo are rare these days and a top notch HC that’s defensive is even more rare.

By the way, there’s now only 7 out of 32 coaches that are on the defensive side. Only 3 made the playoffs. In fact, 4 out of the 5 HC that just got fired were on the defensive side.
Your numbers indicate an obsession with offense and at the same time they also indicate that a higher percentage of the defensive coaches in the league make the playoffs almost half of them the numbers aren't the same on the offensive side.

Brady is trying to sell Johnson on a QB but if not Sanders may go to the Raiders and force teams to allow Shadeur to fall.

ROLES

OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR
someone who will bring Maye and the Offense to the next level.
There are many choices. Obviously, Josh and even AVP should be successful. Johnson and Hamilton could also do the job. Vrabel won't have any issue finding an OC. The hard part is being able to pry loose a top OL coach.

DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR
We need someone who can run the show, including making the Defense a top 5-10 Defense. He MUST be a master at devising defensive schemes and making defensive decisions during the game, and especially at half-time. And he also needs to be able to assemble a quality staff.

Are there top DC without a job? Are there position coaches who you would want at DC? We have no "right" to take another team's DC without compensation to the team. Perhaps, we could get a top DC that a team wants to DUMP. Would that really be a good choice?

HEAD COACH
First, we need someone to run the show effectively and make the decisions. At very least he needs to know what kinds of players he wants. He also needs to be able to hire a staff.

FOR ME, he also needs to be able to step in to help one of the coordinators if there are issues in that phase of the game. TO ME, this makes a defensive-minded coach like Vrabel the ideal candidate. If necessary, Vrabel can work mostly with the DC. This is what some thought we had with Mayo (when we thought that he had actually coached the Defense, instead of being a figurehead for Steve).

Maybe Pats were not Johnson’s first pick.
Bears fans seem to think he is going there
That is EXACTLY what I've been saying. Johnson isn't likely to go anywhere where the QB isn't in place and the roster. The Bears have a ready made roster and a young QB with upside.

Your numbers indicate an obsession with offense and at the same time they also indicate that a higher percentage of the defensive coaches in the league make the playoffs almost half of them the numbers aren't even close on the offensive side.
Wrong. A higher percentage of offensive coaches are making the playoffs - at least this year.

I’m not obsessed with offensive coaches, I’m just pointing out the trend.

I don’t have a problem with a defensive coach as long as he demonstrates he’s a special defensive mind like a Belichick. McDermott and Spagnuolo are the best out of a very small crop currently in the NFL. 20+ years ago, there was plenty of good to great defensive coaches.

If Williams is actually good then that is a good destination for him. They already have a QB1, WR1 and decent RBs. They just need to patch up their OL and they will have something going on offense. Plus, him leaving means one of their division rivals (the Lions) would automatically be weakened on offense.

The Titans will take Ward, so Raiders either need to trade up to 2 with Cleveland or hope Sanders somehow falls to them at 6.

Bring him back as LB’s coach
Rodney coaching safety’s
Vince DL
Brady gets adopted by RK and gives him 10% of the team after Brady sells his shares in LV
We start calling him Jonathon Brady
Ty law has been saying forever he'd like to come be a CBs coach...

These NFL insiders don’t know anymore than we do on who’s going where, It’s funny when they say sources around the NFL says a certain coach is favorite for a certain team. If there is a source that knows wouldn’t it be a source within that team they are talking about and not the janitor at NFL headquarters. LOL!
Some are more dialed in than others.. pellisero, schefter, are definitely dialed in for sure. I remember in hard knocks giants GM Joe schein texting with A NFL network reporter on the Brian burns trade.
