With 10 straight playoff wins we'd forgotten what it was like not to win playoff games

Indeed Patriots Nation was feeling pretty low after last night... but thanks to the Colts and the particularly creative way they found to lose today's game, they helped make a lot of people feel a lot better

The Germans have a word for it: Schadenfreude - meaning: pleasure taken from someone else's misfortune

Its not as good as winning, but I gotta admit - it could be worse.

Thanks Colts!!!

Amen, Joe. Didn't see the game, but when I heard how it ended I had the biggest grin since last night.

Vanderjagt.

The biggest grin.

hey

give credit where credit is due! The squealers won that game despite the refs trying their hardest to give it to the dolts!

He he. Couldn't agree more.

Where are all those Colts fans who couldn't get enough of this place back the last time the Pats and Colts played and over the past couple of weeks?

Are they on suicide watch or something?

Ohh

Ohhhh and I couldn't be happier about the outcome

I'm absolutly delighted......I was dreading going into work tomorrow with the possibilty of the Patriots out of it and the Colts hosting the AFC title game......yahoo....

The Steelers had it won despite the refs - then gave it away when Bettis fumbled on the goal line with 1:29 left - then the Colts had it won and lost it when Peyton couldn't bring them with Vanderjerk's range

Vanderjerk of course had visions of the other time he choked - against the Patriots, after making a jerk out of himself - and missed by a mile.... if he missed by a few feet I'd say it was bad luck, good try - but he choked big time

The Colts lost - period.... and I feel great!!!!

Beat in THEIR HOUSE with the cheating calls EXPOSED to the entire nation....just how big a choke is Pay-Me Manling? Biggest fraud in football history...Archie should have banged a sheep instead of procreating the biggest whiny loser in NFL history

It is kind of funny how when the Colts lost, all feelings of despair were out the window!

The true thanks goes to the Steelers!

I feel worse now that the Colts lost...

the thought of hosting the AFC championship game against Pittsburgh is a thought I can't get out of my head. And I know the stupid Steelers fans will be out tonight/tommorow.

Sigh....

I hate Peyton though, so I did take some pleasure in seeing him lose.

My love the for the Patriots is equalled to my hatred of the Colts. So although we lost, cant help but feel good that the Colts choked yet again. The only downside to it is the fact that it just brings another season of the commentators and officials talking up the Colts and hearing about nothing else in the league.

So bring on 2006, 4 out 6 wont be that bad.

Comparing Tommy's post-game to Peyton's really makes me proud to be a Pats fan.

Indeed, there is something therapeutic about seeing Manning lie down like a dog yet again. Manning is now the most overated player in the entire history of American professional sports.

I think he has officially flushed the Colts franchise down the toilet today. Between upstaging Dungy by dismissing the punt team off the field, to degrading and blaming the fans for an illegal procedure call, to finally throwing his o-line under the bus after the game. Edge and Reggie Wayne are free agents, and after that ball less, and characterless behavior today by Manning, those guys are outta there.

I want Manning drawed and quartered by the National Media for his performance and behavior today. There are no more excuses that can be made for this guy. The Superbowl was sitting there on a silver platter for him this year and he gagged it up again. Call him the all time choke artist that he is. He is not the greatest player of his time, he is a selfish, spoiled, balless brat.

Yes...and I dont want to see anymore comparisons to how much better he is than Tom from the Colts trolls...he's not even as good as Marino...at least Dan got his team to the big game. Today Manning saw what its like to have to play with the running game not hitting on all cylinders...such as Tom has had to do this year and in past SB runs. But unlike Tom...Mr Manning failed....again. No more excuses Colts trolls....no more rules changes...just no more period.

To be honest, I was a little disappointed. While I certainly have no love for the Colts (and now my friends that argue Manning not Brady is the best QB don't have a leg to stand on), whenever people spoke of the possibility of a home game in the afcc I just dismissed it as impossible... now it could've actually happened, and especially against the Steelers it would've been almost easy.

Plus, if the Bengals hadn't lost WE would've been the ones to play a terrible Indy team. Just a shame.

But Manning did lose bad

Are the Colts just the antithesis of the Patriots or what?

Manning is given two gifts ( an overturned interception and the Bettis Fumble) and leads his team to...NADA.

The Dome blessed Kicker with the highest percentage for success drives the possible game tying FG toward the right pylon.

The Colts are a fantasy league geek's dream.

But when it really counts, when the pressure is really on..they once again fold.

The yolk this teams carries has gotten another year older and a bit heavier.

So much for their year of destiny.

I am still very disappointed with the game in Denver but I take great solace in knowing that as we move forward again it will be with Tom Brady at the healm and Adam V in the clutch.

That was a choke job for the ages.

God everything was set up so perfect for the Colts going to the SB. Everything.

The soft schedule.

The difficult path of the Patriots.

A Steeler team kind of weakening.

They had the Broncos number on the Indy Turf.

But the Colts were flat and it took until the 4th qtr for them to wake up. But in this copy cat league, they were exposed to the blitzing schemes and their weak pass defense got exposed. It took them longer than most but San Diego exposed them in December. Actually, San Diego had a bigger role than most people realize (so did KC in softening up NWE divisional rivals). San Diego won on the road against the Colts and Patriots yet did not get in the playoffs. The San Diego game exposed all of the Colts weaknesses and Cowher managed the game of his career today. Hats off to Ben, Parker, Bus, Troy P, Porter and the Steel Crew today. Redirect any Pitt fans to the Orange Mane for social trolling.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The Patriots did not get their act together until December and it took a 4 TO performance, a missed FG, and several bad breaks from the zebras in their personal place of hell to deny their opportunity at history.

Yes, schadenfreude indeed.

I think we all feel a bit better now that the colts lost, and their QB and kicker have again made ***es of themselves in the postgame interviews.

I still lament the fact that they didn't go 16-0 in the regular season - what a great footnote in history that would have been! Not that there's any question anymore that the Colts consistently fall apart in the highest pressure games, but that would have cinched it!

Best regular season team of all time - worst playoff team of all time!
