DRAFT DAY DISCUSSION The Official Rounds 4-7 2013 NFL Draft Thread

This may not be a good draft but there is a lot of draftable safety talent compared to most years... last season Josh Evans would have been a day 2 pick by a team that needs a safety imo.

Tony Jefferson was being pimped as a first rounder earlier in the year - I think he's still out there.

Jets select another defensive linemen. Lmao haha

Jets just chose another DT!!! Did Rex look at his offense and their needs
????

I don't agree with your reasoning, but sure.

You don't agree that the team already has 3 starting LBs and a coverage LB? You don't agree that coverage LBs can be found later in the draft and after cuts?

swope goes to cards

Mayock just said something I hadn't read before on Swope.

He's had 3 (or was it 4?) diagnosed concussions. Now I totally understand and agree with BB's passing on the guy. If I had known about his medical stuff I would have crossed him off my board long ago.

Jordan Poyer reminds me of Dennard. Would certainly be worth considering with a 7th. Don't know what the problem there is.

But now the team is drafting for depth, people are still moaning.
I'm looking for quality depth:

Khaseem Greene >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Juron Harmon

Barrett Jones >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Juron Harmon

That would be an incredible value imo at this point in the draft.

Wonder what the deal is with him?

OMG binky moment!!! I'm excited!!! Blount

Ourlads.com had him as #54 its top 150...

Demps and a 7th for LeGarrette Blount.

Good call mgteich with the power back.

That's a shocker. There's our short yardage RB.

I think looking at him as solely a coverage LB is foolish. But he does fill a need there because, as Vrabel pointed out a.) Fletcher isn't that good and b.) he doesn't stay healthy. Logically, if you're going to make a big deal about someone like Amendola being injury prone, I don't know why you'd overlook that same characteristic with Fletcher.

If you don't think coverage linebacker was a big need, I assume you agree pass rush is. So...again, I don't see the issue, particularly as they appear to have gotten two real solid guys in Dobson and Boyce.
