12/16 - it that your date?

well, i was thinking that the next time he plays at gilette is when his new team comes to play the Patriots...so i think i'll bow out of a specific date prediction...sorry for the interruption...

carry on

He reluctantly signs on August 24th just days before the 3rd exhibition game but DOES NOT play the 3rd game...Joins in on the 4th a week later and plays entire second half

November 5th, 1955.

this is what makes time travel possible.

As I've said before, my official guess is that he never plays again for the Patriots. Lately it's sounded less likely that I'm right, and of course I hope I'm wrong....

i thought so too.

My real prediction is that he's traded and never comes back.

So there is no date.

this can't be the Official thread, since I started one one the same subject over a month ago. I think I had August 10th then, so I was wrong. If nothing is done this weekend I will start to get worried.

I think I posted on that thread too and I think I predicted that Samuel would continue to hold out and then get traded, but I hope I'm wrong because we could certainly use him for another Superbowl run...

don't take it personal.

I've made several "official threads" that have been moved or deleted and then replace with another "official" thread.

I think he comes back on February 30th. If not, then maybe February 31st.

September 7, 4:23 pm (EST).

But did you call it "the official thread"? It's only the "official thread" if you name it to be. All other threads are unofficial unless they are named 'official".*

You don't need any more smugness. You would be farting non stop.

well im sorry if this offended you, but when you are right about virtually everything Patriots-related, this is just the way it is

You have to have both feet down in-bounds and control of the thread for it to be ruled an official thread.

Seeing it's not the "OFFICIAL" Samuel return date prediction thread, I'll go with the 1st practice after the 2nd preseason game. It's not the official thread so I don't have to say the date. I don't know the date of that practice anyway.

That sounds like a Bill Polian rule change.

Cousins,
I think it is a losing proposition to get him 10 games in. New idea. The 'Boys are looking for DB help. Look who they are dangling!
"Mac Engel, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports the Dallas Cowboys could trade LB Bobby Carpenter to fill a need at defensive back."
Would you trade for Carpenter, who we know the Pats liked in last years draft but went for Maroney, for "Get Paid" Samuel to get Carpenter ready for 08 and beyond? I don't know if Woods is the answer or the youngster from SMU but, it's not just one LB that is graying, it is all of them that are. Let Carpenter learn under Teddy, Vrabel Seau, Thomas, Colvin and BB.

I say let Assante go to the Cowboys for Carpenter who seems to be the smart player BB looks for. Maybe the Cowboys throw in a third or a fourth too.
Now we don't have to gamble as far as when the prodigal son Sante returns and our LB core gets younger with some first round talent.

Would you Cousins out ther do this, or just let Samual go after a few token games this year for maybe a comp pick in 2008? I don't care what anyone says, Samuel IS!!!! a distraction in 07.

If you can grab a first round talent who makes you younger at a spot where you need to target, and LB was not addressed in April, doesn't this deal just fall into BB and SPs' lap?
