Not to throw a monkey wrench in things, but it appears as though Asante is still technically "negotiating" with the Patriots over next year's franchise tag even tho everyone says he'll sign the tender anyway. However, doesn't that mean he has not yet "returned," if "return" is defined as "sign the tender?" As of now (0948, 8/28), he hasn't signed. Wouldn't that bring other predictions into play? (I'm not one of them, BTW.)

PatsNUTme and me, I think we have to concede to whomever said the 28th - Dragda? While he did return on the 27th which is 1 day from both the 26th (your and my prediction) and the 28th, the fact that he actually signed the tender today certainly breaks the tie!
