Id rather have an old Randy Moss instead of an old Ocho Stinko.

He is still learning the playbook. Unfortunately, it is taking longer than expected. Luckily the Pats don't absolutely need him right away, but it could take him several weeks into the season to get it down.

What was all that "shimmying?"

Well, supposedly Kaczur was playing too high trying to adjust. Is Solder allowed to knee the Defensive Tackles?

I don't know. From your countless hours of pouring over the practice film, what can you tell me about Solder's technique at right guard?

If only there was a position Light had already been playing for years....

Perhaps then people would be wise enough to note that it's a coach/GM mistake to not have the RG spot better covered, instead of complaining about that guy with no position versatility who'd been a fixture at one position for about a decade.

You're suggesting we keep Light at left tackle and keep drafting near seven footers in the first round to play guard and center?

I might be going out on a limb here, but my conclusion is he's very tall.

I feel sorry for him. Also, Ocho looks very sad on the bench.

I do too. The kid really seems like he's trying very hard out there. I don't know. It's doesn't look good for him to make this team.

To be fair to Ochocinco, i did not see any plays where brady had enough time for a downfield play to develop. Most passes were screens or to the tight ends and there was that one to Welker straight down the field. 90% of the time, Brady was doing what he could do get the ball out of his hands as quickly as possible; I don't think Ocho even entered the equation.
Not catching the ball that hit his face is uncharacteristic but that should be an anomaly.

No, I'm flat-out saying that any failure to properly man the RG position is a separate, and distinct, issue from Matt Light's being a pure left tackle.

If you want to cry about RG, cry because BB didn't sign Carl Nicks to an offer sheet, or because he gambled on just Cannon, Connolly and the stiffs that were already on the team as backup interior offensive linemen.

ESPN should do a story on turning Ryan Mallet into Michael Bishop.

Yes! Sack! Wait a minute, isnt that our old backup QB? :bricks:

Slater looks light years faster than Tate. For all of the talk of his speed, Tate doesn't really seem fast so much as he's just really quick. There is a difference . . .

How many big contracts do you want to expend on the OLine?

Also, Branch was invisible tonight. In fact, he has done less than Ochocinco this preseason although he doesn't have the drops. Seems like tonight Brady was focusing on screens and short passes to get the pass rush off of him.

so i guess ocho did bad again lol

Leonard Davis is 6'6". He was a monster at guard for a couple of years, after disappointing at tackle earlier in his career. Perhaps noting something other than just Solder's height is in order.

2007 Moss = fast
Welker/Edelman = quick

Good hit. He's still not going to make the team, though.
