I do not believe anyone is proposing #2 and you know it. With "All Pro" Matt Light and the equivalent of two 6'8" #1 picks (I think Vollmer easily if he hadn't been so raw) and the highest paid left guard on the planet (is he? must be close). the Pats need to find some way to get by with less than all pros at a couple spots, there's still a salary cap.

I'm sorry, but guys like Gorin, Ashworth and Andruzzi, all of whom were attained for less than Starbuck's charges for a cup of mud, led us to the promised land.

Guys gotta play, or get on the waiver wire and find some who can.

Cannon's not ready, so I expect the team to make a 'desperation' move of seriously trying Solder in at RG. Sorry, but I didn't think Connolly was much last year, and nothing's happened to change my mind.

Also, people were ballwashing Connolly all last year and I was obviously being hyperbolic with the best ever stuff, so let's not talk about people not proposing #2.

i expect roster changes as soon as tomorrow, lmao

tate will be on this list, so will some other guys

some few positives ive seen
1. though brown has not made any amazing plays, he always ends up where the ball is, and has not missed a tackle
2. Hoyer shows some serious zip on his throws, and seems like he really can become a starting caliber QB in this league

I missed the game..what did ocho do today? Anything?

Two targets including one drop on a reasonably difficult catch, plus a offensive PI call that was complete and utter BS. He got laid out by the defender, but it was called on him.

Hard to believe.....right? I hope ocho can get on same page as Brady...and that OL can toughen up enough to give Brady enough time to make the plays...

Furthermore, moss came in here year one and made a HUGE impact....ocho seems lost and Brady doesn't se to trust the guy...even when OL does rarely do their job well...

Really, this is just a repeat of the Browns regular season loss in 2010. After a short assessment you can conclude that the Lions starters were better than the Patriots starters.

Rationalizing the loss it looks like one side has gone in with a regular season game plan and the other has tried a few different things by scheme and personnel.

Detroit looks set for a good season. Their best can compete with anyone. Glad to have this out of the way.

slater can do anything tate can do as a reciever
edelman can do anything tate can do as a returner

oh well

I'm sure a 6'9" player will work out great at the guard position.

We do have one starting tackle who is built more like a guard, though.

I think Darius Butler will not make the cut...JMO

I wanna see Mallett in the short time we have left

That's on top of his drop of the easy catch?

And, as has been said more than once, apparently he can't play RG.

Preseason or not, O-Line needs a huge slap in the face, even Dante was yelling at them on the sideline. When Brady get hit 10 times like that, he won't last long into the season.
Defense, not sure, but there's seem to be depth issue. Mayo is covering a WR, who later try to take out his knee......

It's good for the Lions to show the flaws of the Pats, so BB can fix it. Hopefully the O-line l2play along with the secondary.

Solder's already been taking snaps at RG

I've never thought that Connolly was that good. I'd prefer to move Light to G.

Id rather have an old Randy Moss instead of an old Ocho Stinko.

Or right tackle. With two huge young bookends I'm sure glad we resigned a guy with no position versatility.

The O/L has done their best Philly "dream team" impression tonight.

Since I can only judge from the snapshot I've gotten thus far, I agree 100 percent. He has looked absolutely terrible this game, and the reports coming out of training camp match what we've seen. He just isn't getting the routes down.

It's a good thing that the season is a long one, so he'll have plenty of time to get it straight. There are ways to scheme and hide deficiencies while a player continues to progress and get more comfortable in the system.

Well, supposedly Kaczur was playing too high trying to adjust. Is Solder allowed to knee the Defensive Tackles?

If only there was a position Light had already been playing for years....

Perhaps then people would be wise enough to note that it's a coach/GM mistake to not have the RG spot better covered, instead of complaining about that guy with no position versatility who'd been a fixture at one position for about a decade.
