The official Patriots vs Lions's pre-season game thread

Really hard to get worked up about the result of a preseason game.

The flip side is it is pretty easy to get concerned when you see the Lions, down 2 starters on their D Line, make the Pats OL look the same way it has against the Giants, Ravens, and Jets in the last 3 playoff games.

Im drunk and my brother in law is annoying the **** out of me. Im ready to whip his ass if he doesnt (Please be quiet - edited).
.............Are the two of you stuck in the same house until Monday.

This effort is disappointing.

Big mistake there from Solder. Happy Brady isn't playing.

Vollmer got hit awkwardly on that last play.

Solder has looked rather poor tonight. A good learning experience.

Well that's great... Welker has a neck injury, Wilhite gets knocked into next week by Mayo, and Mayo looked a little wobbly after that collision with Wilhite.

Who else? Oh yeah Connolly left the game with an injury and now I am watching Ocho drop yet another pass.

And now Vollmer is slow to get up after getting hit in the back of the knees...

Time for BB to pull all of the starters, that doesn't include Ocho though.

I bet they hurt Brady's shoulder. He was throwing like he was injured again.

maybe Albert could have made a difference!

How good would Plaxico look ? Yikes, are our WRs even playing, are you bleepin me !

Actually, it wasn't, since my point all along is that there's no strict correlation between preseason and regular season play.

Hence my example of that historically bad Lions team, which is directly relevant to the point I was making. Calling that post a red herring is simply incorrect.

Then why were the only posts you were responding to about needing OL help? Needing OL help does not equal "I think the Lions are a SB caliber team based on this half of preseason football", especially given the circumstantial evidence of this OL failing us when it counts. The Lions specifically weren't really part of the discussion. So, yeah, red herring.

I hope Belichik goes on a massive hate filled rant and such a cutting spree that even Brady is afraid for his job. This is sad.

Where did these guys learn to tackle? El Matador school?

Wow, Butler back on KO Return after Tate's classic runs out to the 12 and 18 yard line. I think we know now who's not making this football team.

Ding ding ding...great post. This is what has caused SO much of our problems in getting deep into playoffs and, making it back to the big dance. OL is not that good...and secondary is questionable at best. Going to be another tough year I'm afraid
