The Official Patriots vs Lions Pre-Season Game Thread

I think the offense read to much of its press the past few weeks. They seemed to come out ad expect to drive up and down the field.

I don't know what they were thinking, but it's time for the OC to take charge of his crew.

Very nice D.

The Lions offense isn't all world but I'm impressed.

I've learned to love watching preseason football, because even this debacle hasn't affected my blood pressure.

A minor detail overlooked by most perusers of this thread.

The positive is the defense is really bailing out the offense. Several drives starting deep in their own territory and holding their ground.

So what's the over/under on the fumbles for the second half.

Seriously. I as long as no one gets injured, it's really hard to make me care. Last time that I can remember is being worried when McCourty kept getting burned during the 2011 preseason.

At this point, I'm just impressed with the defense. They've been given a raw deal to work with, only giving up 13 points is impressive. They've looked good on all but one drive, and where we're having problems - turning over on offense - I'm not worried. That stuff will get worked out.

This is a good reminder for them that the preaseason is all an evaluation but, tonight does not look impressive in any way on offense.

offensive line is getting man handled with surprising ease. Thought our line was supposed to be top 5? Don't look it.

Four turnovers (3 with excellent starting position) for 13 points. That's reasonable from the D.

I wonder what time the offense is going to get to the stadium.

Mike Loyko @NEPD_Loyko
I keep trying to remember but I struggle to remember anytime Matthew Slater has returned a kickoff past the 25

agreed. Let's see boyce on KR

On the INT... it looked like Edelman was open Brady just threw to Dobson.

Those with a better understanding of that route than me. Who in your opinion was the INT on?

Dobson basically couldn't complete his sland due to the slot defender being in his way was my take on it.

Lions seem to be playing like this is a "real" game. Patriots seem to be just going through the motions. Lots of fire and intensity from the lions and the pats are flat.

Look at the bright side .... Turned over the ball 4 times and only 13 points down ... Remember the 49's game last year.... 13 points means nothing

...homerish of me huh!?!?

This OL needs to get their collective heads out of their asses

We're still moving the ball, just the penalties, drops and turnovers are killing any rhythm.

Just one of those days. I'm more worried about ability problems, like the lack of seperation by Dobson or the fact that we cant block on special teams or that our Oline can't get any push on running plays.

Still went farther than a Sanchez throw.
