He should've had an INT too - was lucky that Amukamura came down with a hand out of bounds. It was a terrible throw regardless of the results, which tempers my enthusiasm for tonight quite a bit, but it's still a pretty decent performance so far.

I’m not sure I agree with that 100% a more experience wide receiver would of knocked that ball down, Dobson also took terrible position in my opinion, granted I do agree 100% that it was a poor pass but I wouldn’t expect Malletts strength to be a corner fade throw, he isn’t a great touch thrower, he tosses 150mph every play, he does need to correct that if he wants to be successful when/if he ever gets a chance to start someplace (else).

Yeah, pretty high.

I'm just glad it bounced into one of our players hands and not one of the Giants players hands as it has had a knack for.

I doubt that Blount is on the bubble to be honest. If he were, we'd be seeing him in there running.

Agreed, not to look at things simplistically but I feel like if he was not a lock he’d be out there getting reps, I think the only bubble guy is Washington out of the RB group, unless someone is missing due to injury that I’m unaware of.

It's funny that you bring that up b/c I followed him pretty closely at Arkansas and liked the pick initially, but I've often wondered myself if he may look better on another team--in another system that was less cerebral. Possibly somewhere that was a bit less complicated.

There's also a lot of throws that wouldn't look good anywhere, but as a whole I'm not unhappy about him being our QB2 should Brady go down for a few games.

Nice to meet someone who feels this way too. He got beat to a pulp there. In this day of concussion awareness I would be curious to see how he checked out back then...
