Re: Re: Chandler Jones Hurt?

Bolden returned and then the Pats held him out.
Edelman returned and was fine.
Solder returned and was fine. Played the whole game and wasn't an issue.

Yeah I know still a tough night hopefully those players don't tighten up and the others heal quickly.

I can't believe I actually tuned in for this Gameday Final crap.

Michael Irvin sounds like he's high on blow.

Excellent win by the Patriots. What I'm loving is that they're making plays on both sides of the ball and on offense they're using their running game as a weapon to pound on teams instead of simply having it in place as a complimentary piece to the passing game.
Really like this team.
They've got that "old" Patriot feel to them......tough, hardnosed and resilient.
Am starting to really worry about the injuries though.

Dude didn't launch himself into Edelman. He DID however, hold on to McCourty which kept McCourty "engaged" and then lowered his shoulder into Edelman. I agree with you otherwise. It should have been called because Davis was the one who kept he and McCourty engaged. Furthermore, it was a blow to the head which is supposed to be called regardless.

The way I saw was that, yes he was engaged with McCourty but it looked like he lowered his shoulder and launched. Like he bent down and launched up with his legs. I could be wrong I would have to see it again but that was my initial reaction if I remember correctly. Could be wrong and could have been just emotional about it.

Wicked pissed that the ref's "judgement call" in not throwing the flag when Edes got clobbered on the fair catch. NFL hypocrisy. The cover guy was NOT pushed into Edelperson. He created the contact.
I was wicked, wicked pissed, too...

Irvin probably IS high on blow... but that is OT...

Anyone have a pic of Talib on the bench after that last play? I looked away from the TV and missed it.

I was watching it to see the Patriots press conferences. Bad decision on my part

McCourty had actually let go of Davis with both hands and Davis was still holding onto the left shoulder of McCourty's jersey when he lowered his shoulder. But Davis never left the ground nor did he propel himself into Edelman. He just lowered his shoulder and let his momentum take him through Edelman. Regardless, I agree with you that it should have been called.

Julian is the best 700k WR in the league, what an offseason bargain steal.

I always thought Edleman was a solid receiver..he just has had trouble staying healthy

i'm excited to see the offense once Amendola/Gronk come back...with the way edelman is playing, and Thompkins coming into his own this could be a real solid wide receiver corp

whats the official word on injuries?

- wilfork - ankle?
- dobson - neck?
- bolden - knee?
- sudfeld - hands?

I think BB pulled a cheek muscle while smiling at the end of the game.

Everything was going pretty good until the wheels fell off at the end. I thought 17 points was enough to seal the deal, but Atlanta came to life.

Pats LBs had a rough day in coverage.
Talib earned his pay out there tonight.
Cant lose Dennard now.
Thompkins continues to improve.
NEs run game is impressive.

Re: Re: Chandler Jones Hurt?

Jones was on the filed. Mods please delete this thread to save the hysteria.
Kelly also was on the field at the end.

Seldom wrong and right again Andy..

The announcer was referring to Julio Jones not returning after the hit on he took on the broken replay fumble, it was also announced on the second to last drive by Atlanta, Julio did return for the final drive.

Roger that, you definitely remember it better than I did. Also was probably more upset about the Dobson hit.

Am I the only one that doesn't understand why Ridley doesn't get more carries?

Brady presser coming up. I bet he takes the blame for the fumbled snap.

Both his feet were off the ground when he hit Edelman, so I would call that launching.
