Is it me, or does it seem like opponents' inactive lists are always a bunch of guys we never heard of, while the Pats are always guys like Gronkowski, Mankins, Hernandez ...

Well one reason for that is that the Pats are keeping guys on the roster that can play in the Super Bowl, while most other teams are IRing guys if they won't be ready by week 17.

I think him and Ridley can become a long term great 1/2 combo and Vereen can provide a Sproles type option in the passing game that the Patriots haven't really had even with Faulk.

Let's just get through this trap game with a win and no serious injuries then start getting ready for Houston next week.

I don't think that this is a trap game for a number of reasons:
T

• he Pats can clinch the division today and get a playoff berth
• It is a division game
• The Dolphins are a decent team. They aren't horrible. They still have a decent shot at a Wild Card
• The Pats has historically had problems in Miami and they know it.
• The Pats had a week and a half to prepare for it.

Maybe if it was a team out of the division and not a hat and T-shirt game, I would agree. I think the Pats come into this game ready to play and not looking past the Dolphins because of the reasons above.

But hey, I have been wrong before.

The Pats seem to be focused though so I expect them to come away with the W.

Sorry to hear about your Grandmother. My condolences to you and your family. My stepmother died a few weeks ago. So I have an idea of what you are going through.

It is a trap game if the team is looking past it (or has a reason to look past it). It is a big game for the Pats because they can clinch the division and a playoff spot. Any game that a team is playing for a playoff spot really isn't a trap game. There is a lot of incentive for the Pats to win this game so they shouldn't be looking past it. A trap game is a game where there isn't much incentive other than another W in the win column (along with what you said).

I don't know about the rest of you, but I just got a gift from God. In the pregame the announcers mikes were off. I get the crowd noise but not the the announcers. What could be better than THAT!!!. The entire game without the useless and aggravating gibberish from talking heads. I can only dream it continues
