That's true, he has been giving up completions but just in watching the way he has been playing he's so damn close to being a legit shutdown corner again. It's such minor stuff, and for people to just say blanket statements like he sucks or gets burned is just wrong. He can still run with anyone, he's right in position to make a play, but with safeties playing about as well as Stephen Hawking with him he has to play conservative. Having no trust in your teammates and being comsistently placed on an island will kill your confidence which really matters to a corner.

McCourty isn't playing well, that's obvious, but there's a lot more to it than he's incapable of doing his job.

No, it's not Jay. It's the bottom line. You're saying "he's almost there". The problem is that almost doesn't mean anything back in the secondary. Right now, McCourty sucks. Hopefully he'll get it together, but he's a major part of the problem in that defensive backfield.

Wow.. I think they've really figured us out. Double Hernandez and Gronk and really rough up Welker as he comes off the line (a.k.a. Revis). We should put Welker in a stack so he comes free underneath.
