A sack by someone would be huge here. Need to watch for the draw if it gets to 3rd down, too. The d-line is getting upfield fast and seemingly not respecting the run.
They wasted a first down and we got them in 3rd and long only to watch them convert. This D is so infuriating. They, more than the loss of Gronk, are what would likely keep them from winning a SB.
Once in a while I'm happy for a Patriot who plays so well the Pats feel they can't afford his next contract, e.g. David Givens and a few reserve OL. Edelman may be the next of those.
But I do want to keep him. I wanted to keep him at vet min when he was a JAG at any position except PR. Now I'm finally convinced he's a good WR, and I want to keep him all the more.
