Wow, that looked like some real defense right there! Wish we had a better LDE though, that attempted pass rush by Ninkovich on 3rd down was kinda pathetic.

Wrong (and no disrespect intended). One of my first posts on this board was that Amendola is a far better player than Welker. While they are both excellent, precision route runners, Amendola has far more athletic ability than Welker. Amendola, though, has never had a quarterback who could maximize that route running and athletic ability. Brady knows this offense backwards and forwards and can stick a football in an open mailbox from 20 yards. I think you will see a tremendous dropoff in Welker's numbers this year and I fully expect Brady-Amendola to be a better combo than Stafford-Johnson or Ryan-Jones.

After his touchdown, when Brady ran up and told him something helmet to helmet I would bet it was something along the lines of "All year baby. All year..." :rocker:

Don't really agree there. Brady protects his receivers well but sometimes slot receivers are forced to take monster hits.

Every receiver gets hit. Brady and Welker had a rhythm where Brady threw a lot of low passes to him. It is usually wen a slot receiver goes up for the ball is when he is most open to injury.
