I think Bill tried, but Denver went in a different direction with Thomas and Golden Tate would have required a 3rd round pick at minimum, which is too much.

One thing i didn't initially consider with the Tate trade is that if Tate leaves in the off season, the Eagles would receive a comp pick as high as a 4th...so not as ridiculous trade if you consider that.

He'd be perfect. Money is right. Went to Alabama. Schooled by Coughlin in the NFL. Has warts but good in short to intermediate coverage and makes plays.
