Interesting, another IOL. They either feel comfortable with Croston as emergency tackle or believed Tobin would still be available.

Id certainly be more comfortable with Croston on 53 and Karras PS with Schwenke back. Much more difficult to find tackles on the street / keep them on PS.

First I thought they'd go with Croston and Schwenke joining Waddle as OL backups, Karras to PS and Tobin possibly hidden roster or resigned if they'd have a spot a bit later.

They have some crazy position flexibility.

Thuney can go to tackle.
Croston played LT, RT at Iowa. He played G last year
Karras is the C/G. So is Ferentz.
Schwenke is another G/C type

Thuney cannot play NFL-level LT, even for just a little while; he has T-Rex arms.

Thanksdad is strictly a Center-only.

I miss Wynn already.

His arms are an inch shorter than Wynn but in an emergency he can function at T. 16 games no.

Ferentz spent time at guard in the preseason.

Thanks Dad I am sure that's Ferentz.

I have a feeling that - Dante's comments notwithstanding - no other OLman will be added to the 53 before Sunday, especially nobody from outside the building, unfortunately. If I were the Emperor, however, I would seriously consider adding UFAs Adam Bisnowaty and/or David Quessenberry to the PS if they have eligibility, if not to the 53 itself, as developmental LT/LG backups.

Why do you think Quesenberry would actually be capable of playing here? Yes, he beat cancer, but the only reason he saw time on the Texans squad last year was the injuries on their O-line and having been forced to trade Duane Brown.

Thuney doesn't have T-Rex arms. That would be about 22-in arms.. His are 32 1/4. But, hey.. Keep on rambling..

The Browns who are at the top of the waiver wire grabbed him. The Pats had no chance, like I thought.

If the Pats would have been interested they would have set up a cheap trade. So don't think it was even on their radar.
