Since September 1st, 4pm is the cutdown deadline. We should be expecting cuts to begin tomorrow! So I thought we make one thread for the cuts.

First to get cut...

The whole giants defense after Etling ran 86 yards on them with the QB read option!

Etling showed promise dont know if he makea it to our ps.

Come on. Another team isn’t going to sign a QB to their active roster because of a mediocre 2nd half against guys who won’t make a weak giants team.
If you see evaluating etling solely on today’s play you would conclude he is a few years away from ready to play in a real Nfl fans and a lot has to go right for that to happen.

While they won't be anywhere near as fast in reporting (rumored) transactions as tweets from guys like Kyed, Howe, Schefter, Yates and Rap, rostermon.com is usually the quickest to post official confirmations (quicker than the NFL or NFLPA, according to Miguel).

Pats transactions will be here:

League transactions will be here:

Transactions for the last 7 days

One other note:

The first tweets about a non-vested player typically state simply that he's "been waived". Although non-vested players who are injured can now be sent to IR without having to pass through waivers, there may still be some instances in which a player actually will have been "waived/injured".

During the flurry and chaos of final cuts, the "injured" part of such waiver transactions will often go unreported for awhile, perhaps several hours. Just something to remain aware of.

The process for "waived/injured" players remains the same. If unclaimed after 24 hours, the player reverts to IR. He can then obtain a full release and become a free agent by agreeing to a settlement (buyout) equal to (x) number of weeks of pay. His original team cannot re-sign him until (x) weeks have expired, plus an additional three weeks. In practice, players are often eligible to be re-signed by their original team after about six weeks. But, many such players have already signed with other teams as a FA in the interim.

Ah man I hope JC Jackson finds a way to make it to the team.
I don't think that will be an issue.

They way he's going he'll start by November

Coaches have to fire 45 guys in 2 days...that's tough
I once laid off 30 people in 5 days.
Only difference is they got severance packages and extended benefits.

These kids get a plane ticket. Maybe not even that.

I like Crossen and JC a lot but I'm not sure they are quite ready for action. But I think they have shown they are both better than practice squad just not positive it's here. Jmac and even Cyrus will impact this decision. I see 1 to 2 spots for these 4 players. I think I'd go Crossen and JC but we need a punt returner and it might be hard to pass the vet who might help more now for the potential of youth.

Agree.

I see Jason over Richards.

They might put Dawson on IR- DTR and keep Cyrus. Just don't know.

Crossen might go to the PS as I see JC ahead of him. Either way JC is CB6 behind Gilmore, Rowe, JJ, Jason and Cyrus.

Eh, we will see. McCourty’s contract might make him expendable. I’ll believe Richards is cut when I see it. Guy is harder to kill than a roach.
