What's up with this tightend interest? Don't we have enough tightends on the roster?

Yes, but 2 of the top 3 on the depth chart are free agents after the season. The Pats don't just draft for this season, but with future seasons in mind as well.

Love those second rounders...

Jasper Brinkley would light up my day also.............

What do you guys think of Florida's TE?

I posted about him a little while back. I've seen enough of him to know that he is a very very good athlete and pass catcher. Blocking would be an issue. If we're going to take a TE, I hope it's him. There is no buzz surrounding him, but he is really good. He'll be a steal.

Who thinks we should trade our 5th and 7th to move up.... they won't make the team anyway.

Only 5th they have is a comp pick that can't be traded. The 5th they got from Baltimore went to Green Bay in the second trade...

No, they don't. But god forbid that people not over-react and talk out their rears..

well, I think they do.
I don't know about over reacting.
What about?

They would if they had a slot to put them in. Also, only Watson is a true free agent after this season. Thomas is an RFA because he'll have less than 6 years in the league.

They still have until the end of the 2009 league year to work out a new CBA.

Not saying it will happen, but it very well could.

At this point, they have to be looking at future year picks, don't they? Trading to get additional picks in this draft seems silly at this point.

Nice trade. Thanks for the info guys.

I agree 100%.....

The second day of the draft, it is impossible to get details of trades.
They are too busy ball washing Marvin Lewis.... The motivator.

They won't? Please let me know which draft pick taken in the top 4 rounds by Belichick has been cut from the team during that prospect's 1st training camp..

I'm kinda hoping for Jason Phillips although he might be a bit undersized for the Pats.

Drafting tight ends is what BB does. Besides are we really counting on Thomas coming up big?

Taking a tight end is better than taking a punter at this point. Hehe. Oh Luigs is still on the board. Can he play guard?

Unless they re-up a labor deal, which they likely will.

From now on - all gravy. Get projects on defense or OL and picks for 2010.
