The Jets drafted the best d lineman before Hall of famer Dewayne Robertson.

What range do you think both would have to fall to for Belichick to pull the trigger on a trade up?

Exactly. The only thing I heard leading up to the draft was that he is a more upside/production and did not really settle in at any one position in college. Perhaps this can partly explain the drop??

If they slip past Chip Kelly perhaps. Mind you, if he wants to go OL and DL in the first two rounds, probably can't go that high. Cann/Tominson and Grady Jarrett would be a fine alternative.

If it's not Jones with a trade up Or Dupree with a trade up than the pothead or trade down or DGB

Bummer, I was holding out some hope that Marcus Peters would slip. I think people will look back on that as a steal for Reid. Still lots of good players available. Doubtful that Malcolm Brown slides to us, but it would be pretty amazing if that happened.

Exactly. An EDGE version of Collins.

IYO, do you think that Gregory is a realistic choice if they do not trade up for Dupree and he is sitting there at 32? Or are the off-field concerns enough to make Belichick/Caserio pass?

@Ross12 what's your preference at this point, CB or OG?

I know you didnt ask me but I'll throw my opinion out there. They have an amazing success rate drafting gaurds. Just take the blue chip with the first pick. Can't afford another Ras I Dowling here. Get risky with the later picks.

There are still a few legitimate "first round talents" left, but only a few. Once they go, the draft gets much less predictable and much more interesting.

yeah, Cowboys and Colts I think would be all over him

Browns with solid choices this year..

OK then, the blue chip guard prospect available is La'el Collins. No risk!

Would prefer a CB but not too many I love at 32 are still left, pretty much just Byron Jones and I doubt he makes it to 32. If they keep the pick I would just go BPA but would probably think a trade back to the early 2nd to pick up a 4th would be best.

Please not Gregory. His idea of setting the edge against the run is to run away from it

The top of my Pats board right now:

1. Byron Jones
2. Bud Dupree
3. Jake Fisher
4. TJ Clemmings
5. AJ Cann
6. Laken Tomlinson
7. Grady Jarrett
