Can someone give a refresher on why 2 teams with awful running back stables have let Dion Lewis walk out the door? He looks too good to be true.

He broke his leg in 2013. Why he wasn't playing in 2014 (cut by both Cleveland and Indianapolis) is a mystery to me. I assume he wasn't yet fully recovered.

Scott Chandler. Another, albeit less powerful Gronk on the field at the same time and more 22 personnel possibilities.

Agreed. To me, Chandler is Welker 2.0--a guy who never had the QB/offense where he could really show what he could do. He's got the tools, the attitude, and this guy Gronkowski who should draw some defensive attention. Guy is a great addition.

Kellen Winslow, Tim Wright (at least was a good #2), Shiancoe.

I think Chandler is much better than these guys, but lets not act like we haven't gotten hyped up over some TE's the last few years that didn't pan out to much.

Unfortunately you can also add Fred Davis, even though that was a low expectation signing, and Kyle Brady (2007), who didn't exactly light the world on fire.

Chris Harper. I think by the end of this year he will really become a legitimate weapon in this offense. He doesn't have the size of LaFell or the speed of Dobson, he's probably most similar to Edelman really, but does anyone see any issue with having two Edelmans on the field?

Runners-up for me would be Dion Lewis, Scott Chandler, Jabaal Sheard and Trey Flowers.

Boy I'd love for him to come out of nowhere like that #2 wide receiver in Dallas has for them.

Crumpler was special. I think he made a lasting impact on Gronk that is still with him today.

Sheard. D is so important. I think that Chandler helps (especially early on while we await LaFell) but with Brady onboard it just makes sense to worry more about D than O. Hoping Sheard is in the right place/right time.

Man, there's quite a few to choose from here . . . I could even throw in Easley, though he not an outside addition. I am going to go defense and say that it's Jabal Sheard for me. I think this guy is a stud in the right situation, and I think this is absolutely the right situation for him. He is not going to be asked to do anything except the things he is good at. If he proves that he can handle more after that, then he becomes even more valuable and a possible long-term replacement if the Pats cannot or will not over-extend to meet Chandler Jones' asking price.

I am also very intrigued by Terrell Brown, as many others have expressed the same. If he plays well, he could be the poor man's "shut down" corner. He has a lot of good physicality and seems to play with the kind of awareness and veteran savvy that BB likes in his football players. Can that foot or whatever it is hold up for a full 16 and post season?

Chandler just has me giddy at the redzone possibilities especially. That is all.

I put Easley with an asterisk because we did not bring him in from elsewhere. But man am I excited to see him play on two presumably healthy knees. He is disruptive. I have seen him in person. I just cannot even wait to see what he does this season. The hype coming out of college was warranted, people. He just has to put it all together now that he is healthy. We may not see his true impact until the latter part of the season, as he kind of still is a rookie when you consider how little he played in rookie season, so there might still be some bumps early on. Come playoff time if all goes according to plan, he will be the kind of chess piece on the defensive line as Collins has become for the LB unit.

I still can't forgive him for the big drop he had that post season. I still appreciate the leader he was, but that drop was brutal.

Dion Lewis. I picked him early and he's a little badass who loves to play the game.

I could list 10, though. Great job by the front office with the lowest picks and minimal resources, replacing some pretty big shoes. How about Malcom Brown for the last pick in the round? Tarrelle Brown and Fletcher from a position of weakness. Steady job, didn't panic, got some bargains that complemented what we had.
