It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I don't know about that: Mayes is surrounded by decent people: from family to his professional life. Maye is very humble: humility will take him very far both on and off the football field. Maye is on the verge of being Great the sky's the limit.I might get screamed off the board for this, but I actually hope Maye does not win MVP.
one - I don't think he's played better than Stafford or Taylor (and one of them deserves it more)
two - I don't think winning in his 2nd year, with a LOT more to improve on, before he's won any playoff game, would be helpful for his overall development in learning to grind and constantly improve and retain the hunger to win in every little area.

I'm not worried about that.I might get screamed off the board for this, but I actually hope Maye does not win MVP.

I think its cool that everyone is seeing his potential.I might get screamed off the board for this, but I actually hope Maye does not win MVP.

Let’s clear this up.
It’s the way you wrote it.
I understand your stance, you would rather a deep playoff run, as would any real fan.
When you wrote “maybe it’s just me”, I’m saying it’s not just you, every real fan would take team success over player accolades.
So, we both agree, team success is paramount.
I was simply saying it’s not just you!
No axe, no grinding wheel my friend.
2021 Rams (12-5, 4 seed)If Mayfield wants to win it he's going to have to keep playing like this and the Bucs get the 1 seed.
The reason they have Mahomes as the fav still is they think they've got past the hardest part of their schedule and can rattle off 5/6/7 game winning streak at some point and end with the 1 seed, the MVP is nearly always the QB on the team with the best record you need to win 12+ games to have a shot.
They like to sell it as "most valuable" but you can throw 55 TDs and go 10-7 by winning a bunch of games 43-40 and you would still lose to the 14-3 QB with 40 TDs.
When was the last time a QB whose team didn't have one of the best 3 records in the league won it?
You'd be surprised. I remember Colts fans back in the day caring WAY more about Peyton Manning's MVPs than actually winning Super Bowls.
And you misunderstood what I said: read what I said again. You're the only one who seem not to understand it. You sound like you have an axe to grind.
I might get screamed off the board for this, but I actually hope Maye does not win MVP.

That post was about the seed/record of the QB winning the MVP not the Super Bowl.2021 Rams (12-5, 4 seed)
2020 Bucs (11-5, 5 seed)
2011 Giants (9-7, 4 seed)
2010 Packers (10-6, 6 seed)
2007 Giants (10-6, 5 seed)
By the definition of MVP it should be the most valuable.Well I don't mean the wheels will fully come off... but they will run in more TDs at the goal line instead of pass. Stafford will have a few ints. He'll have some bad games. I think he ends the year 40 TDs 7 Ints or something like that. Still really good. But considering he doesn't run well at all and Maye has done what he's done with a lot less, he can beat that.
If Stafford ends something like 41 TDs 7 Ints 66% 7.8YPA and 4500 yards or something.
Maye ends 33 TDs 8 Ints 500 rushing yards 4 rushing 71% 8.8YPA an 4400 yards. I think you give it to Maye.
You need to consider he has worse everything... WRs, OL, RB and Defense. Plus a new system to learn. And if they get first seed in the AFC i don't see how it isn't him if they are about this close... Even if LAR also get the first seed.
Now if Stafford get 45 TDs and a similar stat line than the above, that is probably too much, but i don't think that happens.
its only good for the player: incentive $? more endorsements?I really don’t like all this MVP talk. Not a tam award. What does it really do for us ? And why do we care if he is MVP or not? Perhaps I need some education.
Would also help with a HOF bid if a player is on that trajectory.its only good for the player: incentive $? more endorsements?
Ask Mayes teammates how they feel about it. It’s a team award, every player will take pride in their teammate being honored and feel like they contributed.its only good for the player: incentive $? more endorsements?
Lunch, probably.I wonder what Joe Milton is thinking right about now?
