It's ironic that you'd call this group think when the entire Deflategate incident was the result of media brainwashing via headlines, propaganda, and pseudoscience, while we watched a bunch of uninformed, misguided fools shape the opinions of millions upon millions of interested viewers, many of whom have zero motivation to ever read as deeply as those who care enough to.
There were so few people in positions to be the contrarian and exert influence over the train off the tracks story, to be the voice of reason and the voice of injured fans.
Bob Kraft was one of those very few.
To think that because he "couldn't win" so shouldn't bother is so incredibly ironic and unfortunate, since the NFL has from day one made their goal to shape public opinion, regardless of facts and outcomes.
As if no other owner has chosen the interests of his or her own team over placating the majority of other owners. And as if no one can ever win a battle of public opinion if they are unlikely to win in court, where there is a much higher burden of proof and other obstacles to overcome. The actual injustice is not that difficult to prove or shed light on.
