The lack of news is Jimmy G is deafening

Why do we have to believe rumors that it's obvious Cleve has offered their 12th round pick, plus a 2nd etc. for JAG?
It's fanboy wish projection.
I disagree, there will probably be at least 2 QB's taken in the first round in April, at least one will be in the top 15. JG is a FAR better QB than either of them. So if a team is willing to spend a first round pick on a flat out shot in the dark on a player EVERYONE agrees is one you are likely to have to wait 2-3 years to see any return on that investment; then why not spend that 12th and one of your seconds this year (at least) to get the better player and an instant retrun on your investmnent.

Cleveland actually has too many picks right now and all the cap space they can handle. Getting JG for 2 picks this year and a conditional pick next year, is exactly WHY you want to accumulate more picks than you can use. So you can make these kinds of deals.

Your post is a non-sequitur. Knocking down a straw person.
Where did I write that JAG is not WORTH more than college QBs?
We KNOW nothing about what Cleve management has offered is what I wrote.
What we do know is that the vast majority of NFL GMs are not mensa candidates.

No you did say that, but your post IMPLIED that you thought that Cleveland feels that JG isn't a package that included the #12 this year. I disagreed with that assumption (without giving you are red x, btw. )

And while your are right that most NFL GM's are NOT mensa members, I was led to believe that the Cleveland football operations department DID include a bunch of these guys now. That is why I'm hopeful that a deal can be made.

BTW- While it is good to talk perameters of a deal now, I see no need to do one at these meetings at all. It could be that Cleveland will want to wait right up to when they are on the clock to finalize a deal. Maybe they want to see who is there. Maybe they want to trade down a few spots to recoup some of what they are giving up. While it is ideal for JG to be traded immediately, trading him in late April will NOT irreparibly damage his chances to be successful.

I continue to say that we have NO real evidence that Cleve has offered a #12, etc. Why is this so hard to understand???
All such offers are currently folks projecting their wishes, not actual fact.
