If you choose not to go down that path, that is your perogative. Just as bad as trolling is lumping someone into a bucket with folks that just comem here to flame and don't have a discussion. Yea, the jets suck, we all know that..but I want vaild reasons why he is talked about like he is the next great qb in the league..Dude had like what? 50 ints, and a half a TD last season. I know after the first game against huston, he converted a few 3rd downs, and suddenly it because Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Mark Sanchize at the top of the nfl. (even though in that first game, he through the picks right to the hands of huston players..litteraly, right in their hands, but they dropped them)....anyway, they say he has the "it" factor. Why is that? Is not being very good at qb in the nfl the "it" factor? and if so..I wont be back on the boards for a while, as I will be playing in the nfl.

He is here now, and will be for some time. I am quite confident we have a good chance of having better than the 31st of 32 starting QBs when its time to replace him. In fact, when we had to replace him with a guy e developed who never played in college, we were 11-5. Sure it was a disappointing season for us, but it would rank as the best season in over a decade for the Jets, and what maybe the 2nd best in franchise history??????

I guess we'll find out. As I stated before, if not for Mo collapsing a lung, it's quite possible that none of you would have the over-inflated egos that you have..

Brady was going to be the QB, it was just a matter of timing.

Why do you feel it is appropriate to come here and insult BB, the PAtriots and their fans, if you judge that we, with a greater level of success than your team has, should cower, hide and put bags over our heads? Its simple. NY is the media capitol of the world. NY and their fans want desperately to become a relevant franchise for he first time in over 40 years. They desperately reached for a QB and called him the answer. Therefore, you must find reasons to believe it will be so.
Give him a nickname, because then he is more likely to succeed.
Find something intangible, "it" and assign it to him. Stupid. You have 'it' after you prove it, there aren't signs of 'it'.
Come up with excuses. Well, of course he sucked, he was a rookie. Rookies always get better in year 2. Problem is no Jet fan has been able YET to show me a sucky rookie QB who became good in year 2 or beyond. But its something that sounds good, so stick with it.

Jets fans and the Jet media really, really want Sanchez to be the next Brady, because they have sucked for so, so long. So even when there is no reason to conclude he can even be medicore, much less GOAT-esque, they turn hope into an argument.

I am feeing very optimistic about the Patriots this season. I think BBs hand in the defense along with all the young talent is going to make a huge difference, and I expect Brady to be at his best.
But, watching the Jets implode is going to be even more fun this year than in other years.
Jets fans have always been annoying, but I think when Herm Edwards was there, even though we got all of the 'our talent is better than yours bs' deep donw most Jets fans knew Herm was a boob, and they weren't going to win anything. When Manigini came along, deep down, they knew the student wouldn't surpass the master and probably were embarrassed to pin their homes on a BB lookalike. (Like dating the fat sister of the hot girl who dumpd you). But mostly because you can't go a week without Ryan telling you how great he thinks he is, these guys have really bought into this blowhard. (How many times can he resort to crying like a girl to win them back?) They had a good 2 weeks. (One aided by a team that limped into the playoffs and the other by a kicker with the yips) Woo-hoo. Outside of that, they had a medicore and wildly inconsistent 7-7 season.
They are in a 16 team conference where 6 make the playoffs, and are clearly behind 5 (Patriots, Colts, Steelers, Ravens, Chargers) and somewhere withn a group of 6 other teams (Fins, Titans, Jags, Texans, Bengals, Broncos) that realistically could be rated in any order, and the most honest guess is they fall right about in the middle of that pack.
So they are somewhere from the 6th to the 13th best team in a 16 team conference.
Problem is their idiot coach has gone out and proclaimed them SB favorites. Any idea what happens to an employee who tells ownership they have the greatest team of people ever, and then gets medicore results? It will be ugly.

LOL, yeah, I thought Rex's gaffe was funny, but a head coach should know ...just an emotional guy. I'm not one of the Jets fans who think the AFCCG was the end all and be all. But, I was happy that they got there, mostly because it was hopefully a sign of what's to come, not what the team had achieved. If we're going to go history with missed field goals, we can point to other missed one's that kept the Jets out of big games. So, it goes both ways.

Anyway, we as fans are doing what we do best - debate about our teams during the offseason because we have lots of hope. I doubt the same conversations are happening on Bills boards. So, I'll take it as a sign that we both expect our teams to be there in the end next year. Unfortunately, we've got a loooonnnnggg wait. I love the summer, but can't fight the feeling every year that I want it to hurry up and end so that we can get to some football.

I don't want to jump into your little squabble here and I rarely post on this board, but I notice that you sort of diss the Bills fans here. Is that because you don't think they have a chance in the division? Do you think that they would be delusional to be talking about winning the division this coming year? If that is so, then welcome to how Pats fans feel about the Jets and their fans. The biggest difference is, unlike the Jets, the Bills have actually acomplished something in the time that most posters have been alive. And unlike the Jets fans, the Bills fans don't proclaim their team as champions every offseason.
Will the Jets win something this year? I don't know. But none of the Jets backers do either. They just like to run their mouths. It must suck following a team that is championship bound every summer only to finish mediocre at best. If past history is any indication, the Jets will be as irrelevant to the Patriots as you feel the Bills are to you.

I'm prepared to wear whatever happens in terms of win-loss whilst much needed game time development is put into this team. In spite of that we have enough quality in the right areas to still be a contender in the AFC East and the AFC.

The Jets on the other hand.. well they suck and have brought in names whilst mortgaging their future. They are set up to win right now. They are set up to win with basket case players with the potential to create the most toxic locker room ever seen. The honeymoon rookie head season is over for Rex. Let's see how he goes in season 2.

The fatass Ryan is just collecting talent (used talent that is). That doesnt mean the team will be as good as the "names" brought it.
