The Jets suck (merged)

There's still a large group of them over at JI that thinks that they have a good shot of beating the Pats this week. An even larger group seems to think they'll get smoked, though.

They might beat the Pats next week...

...with clubs in dark alleys, but that's about it.

I don't know how many people have seen this, but before the game, Ray Rice and Shaun Ellis are trash talking to each other, Ellis slaps Rice in the facemask, and Rice flicks a ball at him. Not surprised with that, its going to happen in most games, but as Rice turns around a walks away, Bart 'DOUCEBAG' Scott picks up the ball, and launches it at Rice!!!

What a t**t! I hope to see Gronk give Scrott a 'Gronk Smash' and an invite to the Gronked Club!

Gangreen is back up and the haves are trying to shoutdown the havenots... Even a delusional Ravens fan stopped by to console them and predict a rematch in January...and of course some Patsfan dropped in briefly too...

Also - as far as Sanchez goes, yes - he needs to be more aggressive. But the Ravens corners have played a lot better since the bye last year and still are getting no credit. Chris Carr had guys blanketed the few times you did try to go downfield.

You guys had an awfully tough draw for a Monday night opener at a new stadium with a second year QB. Come December I have every confidence you'll be looking forward to the rematch.

I think you give Sanchez some more reps and he'll get into a rhythm. If I were concerned right now, it would be about your corners (besides Revis, obviously). But last year we Ravens fans saw "mediocre" corners really come together as they gelled with our safeties. A lot of it comes down to knowing where and when to expect help. Your pass D may just be a heck of a lot better toward the end of the season. And (not to brag) but most teams don't have the consistent quality at wide receiver that we do.

Now put a hurt on the Patties, Steelers, and Bengals for us and we'll see ya again this year.

I expect we may be seeing each other toward the end of the season providing Rex pulls Schotty's head out of his own ass.

Hey, don't feel too bad. Sure, your offense couldn't get a first down against a pop warner team. Who cares that your entire team had penalties up the wazoo. Why worry about Greene's stone hands? I'll tell you why you shouldn't worry!

The Patriots! That's right! A once in a lifetime offer, the New England Patriots welcome you to join us in what shall be a great season. We have an offense that can score... wait for it... TOUCHDOWNS! We have a competent coach! Our young defense is able to perform at an HIGH level, even with the abundance of rookies! Imagine a veteran coaching staff and a veteran, hall of fame bound QB leading your team. Just End The Season and join the fun ride of the Patriots before we pummel you to a pulp next week!

Interesting that while Jabba Wrecks was blustering that the Green Beans can win without Revis, he forgot to mention they also can lose with him. :singing:

After watching the inevitable last night. There are certain things I see. The poor Jets Offense matches up against in our weakest squad the fast.talented but inexperienced Defense.

Their best squad their Defesne matches up against our strength the Offense. On Defense they specialize in run Defense and putting extreme pressure on an inexperienced QB trying to throw long, with a very good LCB to shut down half the field and control rollout QBs trying to escape the "neo-46" all out blitz from the right side. But our QB is not a rollout type, our pass offense is quick and short and our running game is merely there to keep everyone honest. But our Offense is predicated on short to mid-range passing but with a very dangerous deep WR in Moss.

So strength against their weakness, and weakness against their weakness.

That's actually the part that stands out for me. That's a very typical reaction on that board.

They pulled the plug on non members postgame, too...

I figure if I can come in here preseason with some optimism I can come in here after last night, even if my head is hanging. I'm not feeling well. What an embarrassing performance. You guys should be licking your chops. I'm embarrassed but I'm still a fan. On a side note, I meant to come in here and congratulate you on a stellar performance on Sunday. You are still the team to beat, no doubt about it after week 1. I was hopeful that I'd see a different Jets team this season. There's a rumor that Rex and Shotty got in to a shoving match last night. I'm still waiting to see if that news will break. Apparently Rex sat Greene after the fumble and Shotty got in Ryan's face about it after the game. Rumor has it that they had to be broken up. I'm sure you guys will love that. Anyhow, looking forward to the game on Sunday regardless. Get into NY on Friday and can barely wait. If I was a betting man, I'd never bet against my Jets, but right now, I wouldn't put any money on them either.

You guys are going crazy over one game.I expect the jets to put up 200 yards of passing against us.We gotta rattle Sanchez and put pressure on him.Something this team cant do.I wonder wat type of offensive gameplan we will have against them.I would love to see some double moves by our wrs.

Did you watch our offense. Where and how do you expect them to do this? The Jets offense is awful, or at least it was last night. And I didnt see very much out of them in preseason either, which means they just confirmed what I was worried about all along. Glad you're optimistic.

Bill just leaked the offensive game plan to Ian Rappaport...

Anybody recognize this Patriot with a rifle? on Twitpic

Did u forget that Bradford looked like a veteran against us in that pre-season game? This defense will make fairly good or average qbs like good.

PRESEASON GAME.

what happened Sunday, when they actually had a gameplan? You seem to be on a roll with idiotic comments.

Dude, Bradford played against an extremely vanilla defense... not the amoeba style defense the Pats brought against Cincy. There is NO WAY the Sanchize put 200 passing yards on the Pats.

Sorry guys... I call it amoeba because of obvious reasons...
