Well the GOAT Head coach seems to think he's a good player and worthy of being signed. I think ihis opinion matters more.

I think most people would agree that at 90 man rosters for 32 teams, Tebow is one of the best 2880 players.
Thats a far cry from being a good NFL QB.

I will note however, there are many (perhaps 31) teams that don't place him in the top 2880 as no one else was willing to sign him.

Why would we do that? We teach him the offense, cut him, no one else wants him. If we have an injury, we can bring him back because he will be unemployed.
If the Patriots hadn't signed Tebow he would be sitting home for training camp without a team.

I'm not sure why except for fear of another team like the Jaguars picking him up after an awful start in an effort to sell tickets. I also noticed his contract had a full injury split in the details.

The same could be said of Tom Brady when he was drafted. NFL teams make mistakes. They did when they drafted Tebow in the first. They did when they passed on Brady. Hopefully they did when they passed on Mallett in the draft. How many teams passed on Aaron Rodgers?

The only point I was trying to make was that BB thinks Tebow is good enough to be a New England Patriot. As he does, I'm not sure how my argument is derailed.

I think Tebow offers good value at the back end of the roster and I'm fine with the signing and would be fine with him making the final 53. I've never claimed he's a "good" QB (although there's plenty worse) or claimed anything about Tebow that's more than that. I do think you're making some assumptions about my views on Tebow that aren't there.

August 31 -- Prior to 6:00 p.m., New York time, clubs must reduce rosters to a maximum of 53 players on the Active/Inactive List.

Of course a player can be cut any time

Note that BB has previously cut to below 53 anticipating that someone's final cut could be better than his 53rd player particularly in a position deficient in backup talent
