Mallett apparently owned the board during his interview with the Pats.
Did anyone catch Jason LaCanfora's Tweet last night that his sources say that the Browns acquired Mallett for a 3rd and 4th round pick? Apparently LaCanfora deleted it, because I don't see it on his account anymore.
I'm sure Grid would be thrilled with a 3 and a 4, but BB would pull a McKayla Maroney.
Shouldn't it be...WHAT THE HELL not the hell.
Not sure why anyone thinks Mallet is going anywhere. It isn't easy to pick up on the Pats offense, and although Brady has been extended to 40, it's going to be a surprise if he continues to play at a high level to that point.
Mallet has all the intangibles to be Brady's successor.
What evidence is there that he has "intangibles" and what evidence is there that he has some mastery of the system at actual game speed. Mallett is an unknown.
If there was evidence, they would be "tangibles" not "intangibles"
Mallett is an unknown on the NFL level, but the same can be said for all of the QBs in the draft. When it comes to spending a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick and QB is a need, two year old college tape on Mallett, playing against NFL talent, may well convince some GM that he has better tools than the other guys he's watching on tapes that are a few months old against lesser talent.
What there is no evidence of, beyond his being on an NFL roster, is Mallett's ability to play QB in the NFL. He's certainly not shown any such ability in his limited time on the field.
The Browns and Buccaneers have expressed interest in trading for Ryan Mallett, per source, but a deal seems unlikely at the moment.

Go figure, Michael Lombardi and Greg Schiano (another Friend of Bill [Belichick]).
