You can't really compare all that to what the Pats are going through... those teams didn't have to deal with a
24-hour news cycle, social media and twitter, and the salary cap/free agency.

Sure I can. People constantly troll the Steelers about steroid-use that happened 40 years ago. Try reading a Browns forum sometime, I do it's hilarious! Peeps still talk about the fishy refs and Rapistbeger non-TD in SB XL. Point is that fans will defend their team no matter what.
