Can't forget what the razor dude brought. That was a whole nother comedy routine

Oh I'll never forget that richard. My brother talked me into splitting a 4 block of Pats ST's in '71 when Schaefer opened. I wasn't a year out of the service, still not quite fully recovered and stairs were still giving me a hard time physically but what the hell. We upgraded a few times over the years but we stayed through thick n thin until we couldn't stomach paying that bastard our money (our decision but there was every chance our wives might have forced it on us). We jumped back in after he sold to Otis the Would Be Carpetbagger thinking we had to get our Pats fix in before he moved the team. Think about what that says about how much we loathed Kiam, we loved our Pats enough that we were willing to pay the guy that wanted to take our team but not that scummy F. Plus TBH, I think my brothers wife would have made his life hell had he decided different.

I have a friend who is a huge Bills fan. His thing though is to wear NFL gear. He has tarps and caps for every NFL team .... more than one or two for some. There is one exception. He has no Pats merch. And claims he never will.
Tell him that is how karma works.

If he wants the Bills to win a SB he MUST buy some Pats merchandise.

Tell him you will keep it a secret that he is reason the Bills haven’t won.

Stanley Morgan had a long career (14 seasons) and in his first 12 years with the Patriots, he only played on one team with a losing record.
You can divide it into blocks
1960-1975 they were 89-123 (Patsies)
1976-1988 record 113-83
1989-2000 record 78-113
2001-2019 they were 232-78
2000-2024
2005-?

So the Patriots had four consecutive 5-2 starts from 1976-79, bookended by 6-1 starts in '74 & '80.

As always, the media only paid attention to a losing record in '75 and two (2) total losing seasons in the 80's.

Meanwhile, the Giants, Bears and Packers, to name three, were in the midst of two decades (twenty years) of futility, yet they were not labeled 'laughingstocks'.

The Patriots in the AFL had multiple seasons with eleven (11) AFL All-Stars, and five (5) seasons where they finished within 1/2 game to 1 1/2 games of the East Division title and an appearance in the league championship game (which they did make in '63 after beating the Bills in the playoff at Buffalo).

So, in each of their first four decades, the Patriots were highly competitive in half of them (5 seasons) including one championship game appearance (the Dreith debacle being the de facto title game).

Local media's disparaging portrayal combined with national resentment of Boston sports teams' unparalleled success fueled the endless, eternal false laughingstock narrative since the consummation of the merger in 1970, despite more than half the teams in the rest of the league being more worthy of the label.

Unfortunately, Kraft's efforts to distance himself from and prove himself better than Billy Sullivan wound up fanning the flames of the anti-Patriots jihad, allowing irrational dislike of himself and Belichick to grow like the Blob into two (2) manufactured scandals confirming years of false cheating accusations since the Snow Bowl as far as everyone is concerned, and two stolen first round draft picks.

Kraft's pitiful non defense included a request for an official apology from the league which will never happen and if it did would be fake, meaningless and do nothing to change the public's opinion, any more than the truth changing anti-immigrant evil this century which makes the United States no better than Germany in the 1930's.

One of my best friends is Mohawk and knows every small hill of the Adirondacks. He frequently takes off to some little lodge in the most breathtaking scenery in a place no one has ever heard of. I went once with him and it was hard to believe the place even existed, old resort lodge at Bear Lake. How do you find these places? I asked him. He knew that park inside and out.
When I was younger I hiked a lot of the mountains there. My three favorites: Giant, Ampersand, Cascade. My fondest memories, though, are of canoeing and kayaking from pond to pond. Quite a few modest portages. I had a very light little Mad River canoe and a gizmo that put wheels at one end, making a weird wheelbarrow. I made a sort of pair of handlebars for the other end, which sort of worked. I was in beastly good shape back then, though, so I made it work. There is nothing like having a tent on an undeveloped pond all to yourself for a night, except for having an entire mountaintop to yourself, which I managed a few times in the White Mountains.

What's interesting is how Allen said he put more work into this off-season than ever, yet he's looking more like his old self - he now has more INT's (7) than his entire 2024 season (6), and is behind his TD count to this point on 2024 (18 vs 20).

He was also only sacked 18 times in 2024, yet has been sacked 20 times already in 2025.

Man, only 18 sacks last season. If there was a year to win it, it seems it was then.

Also, if we follow the trend of the Bills the past few seasons, they should end up 11-6.

'20: 13-3
'21: 11-6
'22: 13-3 (Game lost due to Hamlin)
'23: 11-6
'24: 13-4
'25: 7-3 w/ upcoming potential losses to Patriots, Eagles, and any of Bengals/Steelers/Texans/Browns/Jets.

Theyll lose against us, Eagles and lay an egg against the stingy defense of Texans?

The league does not want the Empire to return... I'm just tickled over Jets and Bills fans...Jets are crashing out and the Bills are on pins and needles. Listen to midnite Mike the Jets fan..we are so lucky...

I have never liked or subscribed to ANYTHING on the internet. It's like I'm afraid of what will happen to my computer if I do. But I liked and subscribed to Midnight Mike and if I knew his address, I would send him a Care package. That kind of pain is just hard to watch.

I've watched the Pats since their birth in 1960 when I was in the 8th grade. I can remember rooting FOR the Jets against the Colts in 69 when I was in college because they repped the AFL. And even though there were a lot of years with bad teams, coaches and owners, to deal with as a Pats fan in the 60's 70's, 80's and 90's there were always 2 or 3 years of good competitive teams every decade to keep the hope alive.

Jet fans have had none of that. Like Mike said, 4 AFCCG's in 50 years. I HATE all NYC teams because I'm a Bostonian. It's bred into us. But it is hard to keep hating the Jets or their fans. I keep having to force myself to think about 2010 and focus on THAT emotion in order to create even a modicum of the hate I used to have. Jet fans need to simply stop buying tickets and get rid of Woody. Even if they just boycott one game in protest. Make them play in an empty stadium, or one with 10,000 fans of the opponent it might break the inertia of this 15 year run of deplorable football.

Billy remained as president.

And Pat Sullivan remained GM. The Sullivans chose the Kiam bid so they could keep their snouts in the trough as much as possible

As a more recent glued fan (grew up in a Patriots household as my family is from MA, but didn't really know what I was watching until 2010), I had only a brief true hate in form of, as you've put it, 2010. Otherwise, I've honestly hated the Dolphins and the Bills more. The Jets are just supremely terrible. I have no reservation calling them clowns when we face them, though.

If you need a reminder of why you should hate the Rats, remember the Omissioner was a rodent intern, and manufactured/embellished offenses against the Pats and stripped them of two first round picks along with other draconian punishments.

What is just about forbidding the Pats to make trades, and confiscating the higher pick if they acquire one? That is not justice that is vindictiveness.

Remember when the Rats tampered to get Revis back? What was their punishment?

Remember when the Josh McDaniels coached Broncos were discovered to have taped the 49ers walkthrough?

McDaniels was a repeat offender and as such the Broncos should have been severely punished. They were only fined $300,000.

No one cares about bringing a 5-11 team back to the pack.

So yes, there is still ample reason to hate the Rats.

He is too hyper focused on winning a SB, instead of the next game on the schedule. He feels he deserves one, versus winning one. Thats why if I am Buffalo, I have some concerns.

I see a guy like Maye winning a SB, then a few days later saying what's next on the schedule for the team?

And if soeone can't hate the Jete for the Pats sake or the hazard of toxic Jete stank then ask them to at least think of the children

I don't know for a fact, but Allen may be wanting to win a SB for the city of Buffalo. This season more than ever since the Bills kryptonite KC is on the proverbial ropes.

The Bills are all jacked up. Coleman was benched vs Tampa for disciplinarian reasons.

They're all culpable in letting Flutie go.
