The Bills GM has failed to have a roster that was ready to replace older starters who departed.

Like on defense which has failed Buffalo time and time again.

But I must ask, why does it have to be the "evil" empire? Why can't it be noble and righteous? As in, the natural order restored. That tired old "villain" shtick kind of fit the BB regime but doesn't resonate with this new bunch, IMO.

Excellent point. This is a much different organization and you could argue we really are the good guys. But I wonder if it just goes with the territory? Has there ever been a dynasty where the team was viewed as the good guys?

Buffalos first 5 - 2025 draft picks were all defense. Closing the barn door after the horse got out.

1st pick Hairston is OK.
2nd pick Sanders has 1 solo tackle.
3rd pick Jackson is on IR and gone for 2025.
4th pick Walker is a hit appearing in 9 games.
5th pick Hancock is OK.

That current defense is giving up 5.5 ypc and ranked 30th in yds, 31st rush tds and 31st yards per attempt.

What are everyone’s feelings on this era of the Bills?

Me, I never cared enough to hate them. They were better than we were, and I just hoped they could beat the Chiefs when it mattered. (They never did)

For that matter, I never hated the Jim Kelly Bills. I disliked the Broncos the most from that era.

It was also hilarious that we were a pesky team for them that somehow won a few we shouldn’t have won like the Mac Jones three passing attempt game.

I always thought of fanbases like Buffalo as a young child in a room of adults. When they were irrelevant and seen but not heard, they were adorable. Once they had some success and had the attention on them, it was learned they had potty mouths and were ill mannered and no longer cute.

So far I've heard:

Let's see how they do against TB
...........
These are usually from the same few posters.
Every time the Pats pass test, they move the bar.
Just today I read "they will regress, their skilled guys are old and will wear down.....then a few posts later, Henderson is a rookie and young guys and will wear down.

It's a good comical read.

I hate McDermott more than anyone on that team, really. He really got ****ty after the "run it down their throats" game and has just been a **** in interviews.

Have you ever noticed that when people or the media talk about great current coaches his name never comes up in the conversation.

Going back to my 'Pain' post at the beginning of this thread, I was only half joking. Back when the season was starting and we were posting our expectations/hopes for this team what I wanted was for them to be one of the teams no one wanted to see on their schedule going down the stretch. That's the type of team I think we all want to be able to call 'ours'
