As I believe they mentioned on the broadcast: The defense going back to the SB, so 8 games, has allowed 30 points. 30 points in a half season of football in the NFL. I don't care who they have played it's still the NFL. Patriots opponents this season average 19.6 PPG against their other opponents. The Pats defense is allowing 3.9 PPG, 27 points in 7 games. Not counting the 3 TD's allowed by the offense and ST's. Again I don't care who you are playing 3 TD's and 2 FG's, allowed, one game shy of a half of season is unlike anything the league has ever seen in the SB era. In comparison the 2000 Ravens allowed 8.4 PPG for the season, which we all know is stupid as well. They had four shutouts that season and allowed more than ten points four times. Their offense gave up two pick sixes. Our defense has technically pitched three shutouts in 7 games. I was going to go through the 85 Bears season, but they allowed 188 points in the regular season with only two shutouts during the regular season.
