A couple of questions.
For starters, do home teams have to pay a percentage of the gate to the visitors, and what is the financial upside to hosting a playoff game? Do playoff teams gain additional TV revenue beyond their 1/32 share of National TV rights for the regular season.

Gate - Yes. Upside - price of tickets, price of luxury boxes, etc. I suspect TV revenues are divided differently, there needs to be some incentive for Playoff teams...
