The Bowl Game Season

I think Clowney goes #1, he's too rare a prospect not too but Bridgewater will have to start sucking not to be considered a top 5 pick when he comes out. Bear in mind, he's showing that poise as a Soph. Imagine how good he'll be with some real experience

Next Years Top 5?

1. Clowney
2. Bridgewater
3. Marquise Lee
4. Tuitt?
5. Jake Matthews

Add in Sammy Watkins, Louis Nix, random Alabama player, Anthony Barr, Bradley Roby and Louchiez Purifoy plus another QB or two and you're looking at a very nice Top 10.

Anu GM that passes up Bridgewater is looking to get fired.

12 seconds in

DAT kickoff return TD

Dion Jordan 2 point conversion

Chip Kelly is a BEAST!!

Nothing against Notre dame but i would have loved to see Alabama and oregon square off for the contrast in styles. it would have been alot of fun to watch.

D'Anthony Thomas says put me in with those Super Soph ya'll are talking about!

It's funny that nobody in our base offense ran under a 4.62 at the combine or pro day.

Lloyd 4.62 (10 ears ago)
Hernandez 4.64
Welker 4.65
Gronk 4.68
Ridley 4.65

I can't even imagine what a decently fast WR would do on this offense.

ill trade all our draft picks from the 2014 draft to get Bridgewater and Lee i would be happy knowing we will have a dominant offense for years to come

looks pretty damn good hackenburg will also be in an offense like the patriots with bill obrien so that would definitely good. Either bridgewater or Hackenburg (have to wait until he actually plays) look like they could be great replacements for brady

I think he'll start at some point this year, just not immediately. PSU was trying to get the top JUCO QB. A kid named Brian Waters. But, he went to K-St. Want to red-shirt Hackenberg. But, they only have a true soph Steven Bench and a one year Juco not as highly regarded as Waters. Tyler Ferguson coming in. O'Brien's trust in the qb to audible is something that will serve any qb well who plays for him. PSU is loaded at TE. Have good but not great wr's and rb's. Once the qb develops, should be fun to watch.

I think it just reinforces the fact that combine numbers don't matter nearly as much as playing ability and football intellect. You can run a 4.3 but it doesn't matter at all if your first step is going the wrong way, and a LB can be a hair slower in shorts but play much faster in games because they respond correctly to where the action is headed. Bruschi always played faster than players who ran faster for this very reason, and Zach Thomas was the same story. In most sports like this a false step kills any speed advantage a player has, however if they have great instincts and that speed, as moss did for years, then they can be great if the rest of the pieces are there.

Much as I love the draft my focus is always on intangibles over numbers. as an example i would say that it really doesn't matter to me how great an athlete any DL is if i consistently read that they have a suspect motor. If those reports are accurate then a bust is usually headed to the NFL
