Watched tape of auclair, a tight end from laval.

He goes 6'6" and about 250. Decent in line blocker and can run routes and catch the ball,

Whoever drafts this kid will have a player after a year or two of coaching.

Hill's ball security has been pretty good, too. Fumbled only once in 358 touches in 2016. Might still be available in the 4th, but maybe not as late as #131.

He's got real talent, and would bet he's available as a UDFA. It's hard enough projecting talent from non power-5 schools, let alone Canadian rules football.

Five days until draft day. Have any true binkies emerged for posters?(Manx & Obi have found a match :) )

Basham emerged this year among the pantheon of draft binkies (Jimmy G, Keenan Allen, Toby Gerhart). He's found a home in my top 20 with a complete resume: ideal size, enough athleticism, strong at the point of attack/setting edge, multiple pass rush moves (bull, swim, spin), active hands in passing lanes, & probably the best motor of the class. He also has the attitude of a Patriot. IMO he's able to start day 1 & be a better version of Ninkovich (or Andre Carter) for years to come.

I still remember the moment Willie McGinest said "Jimmy Garoppolo" 3 years ago. So awesome. They are similar players too in the sense if they got the opportunity to play at big time schools we probably would have no chance at either of them. It's at the point I'll be upset if Basham is not a Patriot. :( :D

    Honorable Mention list updated:

Desmond King (If we desperately needed secondary help like 2009-2013 then he'd probably be a true binky)
    Tim Williams
    DeMarcus Walker
    Samaje Perine
    Samson Ebukam
    Damontae Kazee
    Patrick Ricard
    Ejuan Price?
    Chad Kelly?

I'm with you on Basham. Ebukam is getting there. I'd take Elder over Kazee personally and Awuzie and Budda Baker were my first binkies. But I haven't fallen in love with prospects in quite the same way this year. For me, binkies are prospects that I've 'discovered' in terms of the board. Players that I've tended to find before anyone else on the board has or that I'm higher on earlier than anyone else. I'm thinking about Marcus Hardison, Jimmie Ward, Deandre Smelter, Ziggy Ansah and to a lesser degree Shaq Mason and Grady Jarrett. But this year, because I came to the board so late, I don't really have those guys so I don't have binkies in the way I usually do.

Ooh, forgot Jack Tocho and Mack Hollins. Now they're binkies.

Oh man, you don't kow the half of it. I was saying he was a first rounder when CBS had him graded in the 7th round. I loved Jimmie Ward and thought SF misused him by playing him at CB. Everyone else seemed to be in on Calvin Pryor that year but I was Jimmie Ward all the way.

I wasnt on the forum at the time of that draft. I haven't really kept up with jimmie ward. But I remember that year when pryor was coming out. I disliked him because he seemed to take bad angles when going for tackles and it drove me insane.

That's why I never liked him. Plus I've always tended to prefer the coverage guy rather than the thumper.

I didn't like either Ward or Pryor but who knows. So much goes into it.

To me, Ward had the measureables, experience, skills, technique, intelligence and discipline to be an excellent, do-your-job, Patriots type player - whereas Pryor had a Post-It note stuck to his forehead that read, "Big Bang Clock, v. 2.0 - now with even less assignment discipline!".

Have I mentioned how much I like Takkarist McKinley? I never thought Patriots would take him but I like the way he plays.

I should state for the record some of my favorites from who's remaining:

    Jeremy Sprinkle - Arkansas - TE - 6'5" 260
    Derek Rivers - Youngstown St - OLB/DE - 6'4" 250
    Tarell Basham - Ohio - DE - 6'4" 270
    Cooper Kupp - Eastern Washington - WR - 6'2" 205
    Dawuane Smoot - Illinois - DE - 6'3" 265
    Sam Tevi - Utah - OG - 6'5" 315
    Trevor Knight - Texas A&M - QB/WR - 6'1" 215
    Chris Carson - Oklahoma State - HB - 6'0" 220
    Jonnu Smith - Florida International - TE 6'3" 250
    George Kittle - Iowa - TE - 6'4" 250
    Nazair Jones - North Carolina - DT - 6'5" 305
    Eddie Vanderdoes - UCLA - DT - 6'3" 305
    Daeshon Hall - Texas A&M - DE/DT - 6'5" 270 (betting on him adding 20 pounds)
    Brian Allen - Utah - CB - 6'3" 215
    Alex Torgersen - Pennsylvannia - QB - 6'2" 220
    Artavis Scott - Clemson - WR - 5'10" 190
    DeAngelo Yancey - Purdue - WR - 6'2" 220
    Jeremy Clark - Michigan - CB - 6'3" 215
    Bart Houston - Wisconsin - QB - 6'3" 230
    Jordan Evans - Oklahoma - LB - 6'2" 230
    Bryan Cox Jr - Florida - DE - 6'3" 270

If there's a single must-get for the rest of this draft, I think it's Sprinkle. There's no other TE in the draft like him, and I don't believe these guys come around every year. Incredible blocker with good receiving skills.

My two picks for round 3 would probably be Sprinkle and Rivers.

Tonight I like Cooper Kupp future Edelman

    Jourdan Lewis future Butler

Feeney/Elflein too good to pass up

Later I am targeting Derek Rivers and Davon Godchaux

There goes 3 of them. Jesus it's like my post was put on the big screen at the museum in Philly. Lol Also I forgot Basham was available still.

Ironically - the guy taken with #118 - the pick the clown stole from Patriots - was Mack Hollins..
