The area of depth that most concerns me is _________________?

You know as well as I do, there's plenty of depth at that position already

Honestly, it's pretty hilarious that the day after an injury-free 18-point victory over an opponent that has made the playoffs the past four years straight, these are the top threads at PatsFans:

Well I was actually thinking about making a thread celebrating how well Butler has been playing through his injury, but according to @mosey threetupu, I have to mindful of my thread count

The emergence of Roberts helps the former as well as having Mingo get snaps (I wonder how he did getting his first regular D snaps).

Didn't get to see the entire game, but this run defense stood out to me:

For a guy who supposedly struggles with playing physically, I thought he did a great job of fending off the block and making a solid tackle.

I think that may be the deepest position on the team.
Coleman was the starting nickel on a good D last year and cant even get active.
Cyrus Jones is going to be a good NFL corner.
Rowe is talented.
J Jones has gotten on the field ahead of some of these guys as well.

I don't think we have ever been this deep at corner.

Jones and Jones have gotten on the field. Is that a major plus? Did they do any good? Are they good enough to be counted on for anything this year? Should they be active for anything but special teams?

I think that the Rowe may be the missing piece. Coleman is a fine #4 CB.

WHERE WOULD BE HURT MOST WITH AN INJURY TO ONE PLAYER?

Isn't that the first question regarding depth?

My choices:

QB (as for any team with a top 10 quarterback)
TE (the harm with an injury to a starter would be huge)
OG (is Karras or Jackson ready to start?)
DT (Branch and Brown are very important)

COMMENTS ON THE CHOICES OF OTHERS

OT
???? Fleming has shown that he is capable of starting. Waddle is a relatively capable #4)

CB
Coleman is a #4, and has started (as CB or nickel) lots of games for us. Our #5 and #6 have had game experience. Besides, with such an excellent from front seven, and with 3 excellent safeties, others can help out the corners.

Any position along the OL.

Thanks for sharing this. I enjoyed this little moment in a game a lot since two of the guys I was especially interested to watch made a play together (Mingo+Rowe). Mingo was also good on some side rushes - as expected. He can be an asset on this D especially when Collins out. Second halfs when lines wear down a bit might be his time.

BTW - what I really like with the new playmakers on D showing up is the speed. Collins and High are monsters but when you add any of these guys the whole D gets another gear.

QB - I don't trust Jimmy anymore either he's to soft or to concerned with where he will be playing next. Either one is concerning.
sorry but sarcasm doesn't come through well online but this is a joke right?

You could make a case that Blount is the one man on the roster without a backup. (Though come to think of it, I wonder who our backup center is?) The good news is that a power back is the closest thing to a plug-and-play position that there is -- and I'm not sure there's anyone on the roster I'd sacrifice to carry an extra power back who would be a weekly inactive.
White has been running better but yeah if Blount went down he would be the primary running back, but I think I will feel better when Lewis comes back.

I was gonna make a thread about Edelmans Production dropping off, and wondering if his foot injury is gonna really hurt his over all production for the season.

Edelman hasn't been the same, we are gonna need him to step up as the season goes on.
