Everything says the Chiefs should win. That said, you can never bet against Brady.

Mahomes is not a traditional pocket passer. I would expect more roll outs etc. He is elusive and can throw effectively on the run. A bad o line will not have the same impact as with a QB like Brady.

I agree that's true, but some people are taking it so far to completely ignore the OL issue they are having. Like they won't bother him at all. If KC believed that was the case, why pay a guy like Fisher at all? I feel like right now we are stuck in the middle of 2 camps. One that believes Mahomes will simply over come cause he is superman with Hill and Kelce. And one who believes that bad OL is going to wreck the game for KC (not many people believe this I think. It's much more the other one).

Why not live in the universe where 4/5 times the OL won't matter for Mahomes as he will get the ball out fast, escapte the pocket or run. But 1/5 times he will not be able to do this and it will be a serious problem. I think that is something people are having a hard time with. Even PFF that is usually a really good source seems to not give a **** that Fisher is out.

All it takes to turn this game is 3-4 plays going very badly thanks to that OLine that wouldn't have happened otherwise. The Bucs are too good to allow them some bonus sacks or turnovers they wouldn't have got if Fisher was playing.

aren't the chiefs going to be using almost the same offensive line that they used against the saints and Mahomes had constant pressure on him? the only reason they scored 30+ that game is because the saints offense was terrible at the start and they got a lot of possessions

yeah I just looked and the chiefs had 12 possessions (not counting end of game) and scored 32 points

Bucs are the more talented team. This chiefs team is not the same one from last year. I like the Bucs DL a lot better than the chiefs as well as the OL with chefs injury at OL.

Just hope bowles doesn’t have that one safety. This Bucs defense is a lot different now. More aggressive in coverage.

The Pats in October on the road with no QB, no practice and flying to KC the same day as the game were trailing the Chiefs by just 3 with 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

That's the team that's going to roll over the best team in football for the last two months in the Super Bowl in their own house? I don't think so.

Bucs got this.

They're also whining about the refs giving the Pats their AFCCG win in 2018

I can't wait to go there for some hilarity after the Bucs win.
Seriously, KC fans really are some of the worst fans in football. Toxic as hell. This goes far beyond the 'Rah rah' fan talk. It's like a hive mind of 8th grade immaturity and edginess. I use to check that site a bit, but no good content is ever on there. Their Reddit page is a bit better, but only because it is more casual fans.

I agree. That KC Oline vs the Bucs Dline is the biggest mis-match in the whole game. The Bucs front has a chance to dominate this game the way Denver did vs the Panthers in 2015.

Cam wasn't a traditional pocket passer either in SB 50. The same tackle that allowed Von Miller to be SB MVP then will be protecting Mahomes' blind side on Sunday.

Worse. Fisher played against the Saints, though he was banged up. His presence allowed the rest of the line avoid shifting all around.

The bigger Chiefs problem is the OL in general and missing the starting LT in particular. Mahomes is mobile and can improvise really well, but at some point the line needs to be able to hold its blocks with some degree of regularly or they're hosed. This Tampa team just sacked Rodgers 5 times in a season when his was very well protected.

It will also help the Bucs if they can get both of their starting safeties back for the Super Bowl.

I would still consider the Chiefs favorites but the OL injury problems really close the gap.

If I have learned anything about football in the last 20 years, it's to not bet against Thomas Brady. My Brain tells me Mahomes and his cast is better than Brady and his. Ried is a better coach. KC has rolled all year. Hill is unbelievable. Kelce is Gronk 6 years ago. All the tangibles say KC.

Brady finds a way.

Would love to see Brady do it just because it's so improbable. 10 times in the SB, 7 wins. Mind-blowing. But, I don't see the Chiefs losing. All that is why it will be such a good game.

Off the charts ****iness. I’d be confident too if my team had won something like 27 of their last 28, but they’re just total assholes. They don’t even want to discuss the Xs and Os because that implies the Bucs have any chance. I went looking for some strategy posts/breakdowns there and found almost zero insight.

Honestly I suspect that seeing Brady is their worst nightmare. I saw some of their posts earlier in the playoffs, and they were aggressively pointing out that Tampa Bay was done, nothing to worry about, no chance, predicting blowout losses.

There was some good stuff on BucsZone. Interesting that a couple of knowledgeable Bucs fans think they should blitz/pressure with five with some pretty good arguments. For one, the Bucs did not blitz Mahomes much in their first matchup. Also some really good insight on the Bucs secondary and matchups. These fans know their players.

This is not the same chiefs team as last year. If the Bucs can get off to a good start i like their chances. It’s hard to win a game when you spot the other 17 points and also be so damn predictable on offense. Idk what Bowles was doing in that game playing one safety. I feel the Bucs will win this game if brady gets time. I expect the chefs to blitz at times.

If I’m the bucs I use the strategy the giants used on us. Ball control, limit kc’s possessions and of course exploit the weak kc ol to get to Mahomes. If kc gets enough possessions they will go off eventually like in the saints game. Tb absolutely is capable of pulling that plan off , Dl is playing well and fournette is running well. Then you have the all pro weapons in the passing game. My confidence in Tampa is growing!

tampa can definitely control the game if they use the short game to keep moving the chains with Godwin, AB, and the tight ends. I read somewhere that the chiefs are horrible at covering tight ends

I don't think blitzing will be necessary...or the right approach. They need two safeties deep. They should be able to get pressure with four. A well-timed blitz here and there might be effective but that sounds like a plan designed to make Hill or Kelce into a SB MVP.

Yep, definitely have the weapons to move the ball. Gotta execute, dont press for the big play or turn the ball over

Their defense is a beautiful mystery.

Their defense ranks among league leaders in passer rating allowed for 10+ yard passes and they avoid the big plays. And they don't do well, by account of casual viewers, on short passes, tight end coverage, etc.

All that would lead you to believe they play a bend-don't-break style of letting teams have those short/intermediate gains and figuring they'll stop them in the red zone, where settling for a field goal puts you at a disadvantage against the Chiefs offense.

But then...want to guess which team is worst in the NFL for red zone touchdown percentage allowed?
