I mean we'll see. Garrett was an obvious choice. Peppers could be a complete bust, jack-of-all, master of none have a history of not working out in the nfl (if he's gonna be used as a S me, I would have went Melifonwu , Maye or Baker over Peppers) and Njoku might be on of those guys that is only as good as his QB..

But solid job on get another 1st rounder...

Hopefully that 2018 first rounder and some other high 2018 picks will be in play at some point for Jimmy G after the 2017 season.

Pats overplayed their hand with JG. Multiple 1st rounders. Laughable. They'll get a 3rd round comp and that's it. No let me guess, brady has another mvp season but the pats cut him for jimmy "5 quarters of play" g on 2018. Ludicrous.

Look at what the bears and the chiefs did. Something's up that we don't know yet. Something behind close doors. It will be difficult to swallow if jimmy G leaves af te next season.

So what happened for big trades? Trying to get caught up.

The crazy trade, imo, was Chicago moving up 1 spot from 3rd overall to 2nd to draft Trubisky.

The 49ers in exchange got the 3rd overall and the Bears 67th, 111th and a 3rd round pick next year.

Trading a 1st for Cooks is starting to look incredibly smart. Huge depth on the defensive side of the ball still available.

For selfish reasons, I wish we had a 2nd rounder, but when I look at the players still available, there's a real shot that someone makes it to 72 who can be a productive piece of the puzzle here.

I don't necessarily disagree with you. No one knew Brady was going to be what he became. People seriously debated whether to take Ryan Leaf over Peyton Manning. In 1984 we drafted Tony Eason before the Dolphins drafted Dan Marino... No one knows which one is going to become great. So you really don't know if Jimmy is going to be better than these taken tonight in the draft. And the GMs know this.

I would trust BB alot more than these gms. We will see.
