People forget that when the Jets fired Tannenbaum after 2012, most of the stronger GM candidates refused to even interview for the job. The combination of not being able to bring in their own HC and the dysfunctional nature of the Jets' organization scared most people off. Idzik was not a strong GM candidate.

No it goes farther than that, long before woody became owner the team. the foul stench of suckatude has hung in the air almost as long as the jest have played. It is said (sorry,there is no link) that Leon Hess sold his sold his soul to the devil to win the one and only SB back.......damn its so long a go i can't remember. But anyways the jest sucked long before woody and will continue to suck long after hes gone.
