Now 63-128 and less than 50% competed for the season to date.
Is this a good time to point out that Mark Sanchez's salary is guaranteed next year?
whats depressing is waiting all off season for week 1....and then realizing in week 4 the season is over.
You should go read a Jets Game Thread from today. You can feel hope dying post by post. Even the most ardent Sanchize lovers are bailing now.
The Schadenfreude is worth the time spent.

Upsets happen, but looking at it from if the better team won, factoring homefield, here is the rest of the Jets season.
CLEAR LOSS
2x NE
Houston
at Seattle
Arizona
San Diego
@Buffalo
@Tenn
@Jax
COULD GO EITHER WAY
Miami (shouldn't have beaten them with Revis)
@St Louis
Indy
Seems like best case is a 5-11 season. Worst case? Every team remaining on their schedule is better than them.
Disappointmemt? The Jet fans that normally come here will stay away in droves and never respond to this.
I'm not sure Tennessee is a sure loss, but in any event I am holding out hope for 6-10 or even 7-9 so they can't get a difference maker in the draft.
Lets look at where the Jets were when Mike Tannenbaum took over the team in 2006. The team was a mess. It was a mish mosh of aging veterans, almost no youth movement, and financial issues. The Jets went for it all in 2005, the team crashed and burned and Tannebaum was left to pick up the pieces of a team with no QB, no offensive line, contractual issues and who had wasted a 2nd round draft pick on a placekicker. The team was handicapped by monster contracts given to Chad Pennington, DeWayne Robertson, Curtis Martin, and on and on and on.

Interesting stuff from Jason (nyjetscap.com)
Thoughts on Mike Tannenbaum's Future
That's a solid start. Unfortunately, Jason goes off the rails from there because he fails to see that the Jets today are in pretty much the same position, with the same front office problems, and he gives Tannenbaum a pass because of the fluke AFCCG appearances.
I hope the Jets ownership continues to be as naive about those appearances as all the Jets fans seem to be.
