At this time yesterday Sterling Moore and Jeff Tarpinian were just named starters, the sky was falling and we looked to be in a dogfight just to make the playoffs. Now, looking at the rest of our schedule and what our main competition for a bye just lost, I'd be shocked if we didn't earn at least a 2 seed.
I still see the pats only getting the #3 seed...unless the texans really blow up
I think we'll finish 12-4. All these games are games we should win, just one team (Buffalo) has a winning record and there's a chance that may not be the case when we play them if they continue to falter. But I bet we have one more stinker in that stretch and drop one that we shouldn't like against Buffalo.
In that scenario the Texans would need to lose 2 more games, which isn't that big of a collapse.
This sucks for us Texans fans. We finally are having our big season and now our QB goes down after losing AJ and Mario.
I think Leinart might do alright though. His skill set is similar to Matt Schaub and shouldn't have to be a star at QB for us to win. It's the playoffs I worry about though.
Your defense has been playing great all year and your teams strength is running the ball. I would say Houston is a long way from being toast. Not at all interested in seeing them in the playoffs.
The Texans (IMO) have the best running game in football and one of the better defenses in football. You'll be OK.This sucks for us Texans fans. We finally are having our big season and now our QB goes down after losing AJ and Mario.

I wouldn't mind. They are built on the run. Yes they can pass but pats would have a better chance with them than a pass happy team like NO or GB ect
He's been in that system for a few years. The Texans really wanted him back. A lot of people thought Leinart would go to the Seahawks to start and reunite with Pete Carroll.Ladies and gentlemen:
Matt Leinhart is your new Texans starter!
Leinart just needs to be a game manager...... They have enough talent to win games with patience.....he's not on the cardinals anymore....if filter and brad Johnson could go all the way, so can leinart
Slot of ifs in there though
Top defense, top running game, top WR, good offensive coach. Team will be smart enough not to expose Leinart. Both their backs are on pace for 1200 yards this season, maybe more with Schaub going down.
They have a good enough team in every phase to simply not allow Leinart to lose for them.
They'll be fine.

#1 D in the league, great running game...doesn't matter. Can't win in the NFL without a quality QB.
