One tweet I saw prematurely said that Tebow was going to Jacksonville for a 4th and 7th, so I guess it was 4+6-7 from the Jets or 4+7 from the Jags. Not a big difference.

If that is true then frankly that is pretty cold of Denver to trade him to the Jets rather than to Jacksonville. They would have been seven picks earlier in round four which should have made it close enough to a wash where Elway could have sent him where he would have preferred to play. Perhaps the details about the money involved in the contract had something to do with it. Schefter is saying that the Jets are willing to pay half of that $5 million in compensation back to Denver - though I didn't realize the NFL allowed for that type of thing like baseball does.
