Maneri being released instead of Stork moving to IR also speaks well for Stork I'd like to believe, if we're fortunate enough to be watching a 19th meaningful NEP game for the season come February.

As mentioned above, I'm figuring two things:

1. Maneri had become redundant.
Cameron Fleming is healthy now, and he gets used as the extra lineman rather than Maneri in those formations. Fleming also offers more roster versatility, as either an OT or blocking TE.

2. Vellano is just being added for insurance.
He probably won't see the field, but if Chris Jones can't play you need to have a Plan B in case of an in-game injury at the position. He's also a bit of a hedge in case Siliga struggles again, though he would have to be really bad for Vellano to take his place due to poor performance. more likely he's there to at most give others a breather for a play or two if necessary.

Unless it's a hedge against Jones not playing, Vellano figures to be active. Maneri , not so. So who sits instead?
