Lets be real... his qb is lamar jackson... his catch opportunities will be ... limited

I was speaking of Dwayne Allen actually.....if we do bring him back with a raise like that..I'd like to see him run some more routes. The man only had 13 catches in two seasons here...yeah it is OK if he blocks VERY well, but for that $$$$...I'd expect at least 20 receptions a year...with 4-5 targets in the RedZone off play action....

I just realized that Jesse James is a Free Agent. Big good blocker, consistent...

I wouldn't mind the Pats taking a good look at him. Shouldn't be too expensive and he's only 25.

I wouldn’t mind them taking a look at him either, but is he really known for being a good blocker?

To this point, James is best known for a touchdown that didn't count, but he's been a quietly consistent performer over the past three seasons. Stuck on the same offense as Antonio Brown, Le'Veon Bell, James Conner, and JuJu Smith-Schuster, which made it virtually impossible for him to be more than a secondary option for Ben Roethlisberger, James has averaged 37.3 catches, 377.7 yards, and 2.7 touchdowns per season since 2016. Those numbers certainly won't blow anyone away, but James will be 25 when next season begins. Someone is going to look at his height (6-foot-7) and blocking ability, and think they can get more out of him on a less crowded offense. According to Sports Info Solution, he didn't blow a single block last season.

By DYAR, a Football Outsiders' metric that measures total value, James was the seventh-best tight end last season.

Haha, just noticed on the right side...Curran asking, "Who should the Patriots try to tie up in free agency?

WR: Jamison Crowder
TE: JESSE JAMES
DE: Trey Flowers"

That's it, I'm calling it: Curran read my post.

Dolphins announce Dwayne Allen’s visit has concluded

Veteran tight end Dwayne Allen has hopped from team to team over the last few days as he looks for a place to play in 2019 and his fourth visit of the week wrapped up on Friday.

The Dolphins announced that Allen’s visit with the team came to an end on Friday afternoon. Allen spent time with the Browns, Bills and Lions before heading to South Florida.

Been mediocre and overpaid his whole career, good luck in Miami.

Thanks for the excellent blocking and hope he just cashed in with miami.

Ian “all my scoops turn out to be true” Rapoport is saying it’s for two years in Miami.

The #Dolphins and TE Dwayne Allen agreed to terms on a 2-year deal worth $7M, source said. A nice payday for a locker room leader and good guy.
