Re: McCoy: "Umm...Mr.Brady,can we line up?"

Tampa played to win last week, against a team that didn't care about that at all, so I have no sympathy for Mr. McCoy and company.

Re: McCoy: "Umm...Mr.Brady,can we line up?"

That last paragraph was especially hilarious.

Re: McCoy: "Umm...Mr.Brady,can we line up?"

McCoy is pretty engaging guy with a great sense of humor. He seems quite amused that his team was utterly humiliated last night. Somehow, I doubt that Raheem Morris finds this particularly funny ...

Re: McCoy: "Umm...Mr.Brady,can we line up?"

Noooooooo!!

If the offense plays like this in the regular season, there are going to be a lot of defensive players yelling that.

Re: McCoy: "Umm...Mr.Brady,can we line up?"

he sounds like the Miller Highlife guy

I actually come away with a really good impression of McCoy. He was very funny in the way he described the experience, which is surely one plenty of players have shared going up against Brady! But the real meat of it was how much of a valuable wakeup call this was for the rookies. Makes you realize what an amazing thing it is for guys like Mayo and Spikes to start from day 1.

Re: McCoy: "Umm...Mr.Brady,can we line up?"

Very funny stuff. You can listen to the audio on The Rap Sheet.

Re: McCoy: "Umm...Mr.Brady,can we line up?"

Yeah that was funny stuff. McCoy took away form it as a learning experience and an eye opener for the rookies. It certainly must be quite an experience to go up against Tom Brady and the Pats in your first year! And they get Peyton Manning next week, so it doesn't get much easier for them. But yeah that was a funny press conference. Sometimes when you get thrashed in a game like that, that's about the best way to treat it. Learn from it and move on. The Pats are firing on all cylinders right now. I'd love to see this continue into the regular season!

Couldn't have said it better. I mean, seriously, he was taking it all in a positive way and just being honest in his emotions. I can't see his coach, or at least any coach who understands the value of real leadership, being upset with those remarks.

Re: McCoy: "Umm...Mr.Brady,can we line up?"

He's exactly correct that it was a good thing for a young team, coming off a winning season, that won their 1st game in a cake-walk. Nothing better than a kick in the ass to wake you up.

Let me offer as evidence last season vs. Cleveland.

And he was funny too. Love that Nooooooooooooooooo!

If you have the time, you gotta listen to the tape too. This guy definitely has a future in Broadcasting. He was articulate, funny and really didn't waste any words. I think his comment about his coach was the biggest back handed compliment i've ever heard.

absolutely agree. those are the kind of remarks a leader makes, especially to his younger teammates. he's also not so gently telling the coaches that they have to practice better and be better prepared when they step on the field against an elite team.

I Hope it continues Through the regular season and into the playoffs, but i'm sure there will be injuries and let downs. Thats why i don't get to high (the '07 SB cured me of that) or to low.

Re: McCoy: "Umm...Mr.Brady,can we line up?"

Actually reads a lot different than it sounds on video. it's hilarious and he's giving props to the level of execution of our offense compared to their current ability to process it and explaining that to his young teammates.

Tom Brady: Better than Calabaloo

Thought this quote was hilarious. It is part of the "Mr. Brady, can we line up?" speech but I don't think this part was posted in here. If it's already been discussed, I apologize.

“[Linebacker] Mason Foster? He needed to see Tom Brady. He didn’t get to see Calabaloo from last week, whatever the dude’s name was. I’m sorry if you can hear this. I don’t know who you were, I’m sorry. It’s nothing personal,” McCoy said.

“Tyler Palko?” a reporter asked.

“Falko, yeah, the replacement. He needed to see Tom Brady,” McCoy responded.
